Hannah and the Pirate Caves is full of glitches and tricks we all abuse past the limit today. One of these humble glitches is the boulder domino glitch, discovered in Justice
The mechanics of this seem to be the same as why all other boulders bounce off other boulders. The best explanation is that boulders have a round, let's say, "strike surface" around them.
When 2 boulders meet, when their immediate strike surface meets, they bounce off each other.
They stay still, however, when they meet any surface that isn't a boulder.
Unless there is a pile of boulders, in which it would just bounce off until it found a spot to stay or it's strike radius wore away.
This is what causes the domino glitch.
