Yikes. How long did this take you?

I'll play it right away, never got a chance to play the original one.

To -supposedly- make it uploader safe? Maybe, 5 minutes. I never tested it though, and there were a few edits that I'd at least call... questionable. The original one, I seriously don't remember how long it took, lol. It might have been 2 days, or it might have been 2 months.

where is it up on

well, as of this post, I'm uploading it to cave_upload. I should get significantly farther than what I did last time. I think last time I was still pretty new at HATPC.

I don't care about uploading caves anymore, lol. I just stay logged into my whatever account, and click the handy-dandy upload button whenever I want to play a cave.

I played it, so far, i think its possible. But there are supremely evil traps here and then. I cant just get stuck at the terrain with one try you know. =X

I think I know what you mean, with the jumping off the ladders? I almost always pull it off. It's not random like jumping into corners usually is. Take the time to set the jump up and you'll be fine. There is this one part where you have to do it in the middle of this really fast speed trap -- now THAT'S what's evil. You'll see in the video...

EDIT: I cant even do a ladder terrain jump. Ughh.... I have no experience.

It's already recorded. I just need a better internet connection in order to upload it. The hell I'm downloading 11 minutes worth of audio and then uploading 11 minutes worth of video, all on dial-up.

Whoa....i used dial-up once. The internet is horribly slow. 11MB would take VERY long, isn't it?

OK, so get close to the top of the ladder (if you bounce against the top, try again), then move a touch in the direction away from where you're about to jump to (if there's a wall, and you touch and bounce off, start over), and then jump towards the hole. If you did it just like that, guaranteed to work at least 95% of the time.

I upload at about 7MB an hour. Now, the video isn't 11MB, lol, it's 11 minutes of video, so more like, 70-100MB, after I apply the usual amount of compression. Like, it'll take all day, and that's IF the dial-up actually stays connected the whole time (and it probably won't).

Well, i can't practice that now. Suddenly my guest account failed me.

Sooo....when are you getting a better internet connection? I really want to see this video =\

I'll probably have it it up, early to mid September. I'm not sure when we go back, and after that, I'm not sure how long it'll take me to find a good 11-minute song to accompany it. I mean, 11-minute songs are rare. Dando suggested "Fool's Overture" by Supertramp, but I've never heard it before, so it still needs to go through my approval process.

I don't remember suggesting that to you, but I certainly stand by it. I wish my caves were longer, just so I could use some of my longer songs for the walkthroughs. I dunno how you get yours so long! 11 minutes! Oy!

Well it was over 12 minutes, but I edited out a minute and a half of jumping at walls in order to fit it into one video (11 minutes is the youTube limit, despite the common belief that it's really 10). Actually, I might have done that anyway, you know, to cut out some of the boring.

Well, I got completely destroyed by this cave. But now I very much want to see the walkthrough! It wouldn't finish if you left it to upload overnight?

70MB video (minimum) * 1hr/7MB = 10hr. It might get close, but by tomorrow morning, somebody will want to use the phone or the internet might disconnect, and I'd rather make the video have a little higher quality than just 70MB (which is probably small for 11 minutes). And all of that needs to happen AFTER I download some music, which itself would take an hour (and don't forgot video processing, for another 30 minutes). Long story short, MAYBE I could get it done, but it's way too much of a hassle for me to bother. It's going to wait until September. Sorry!
