IO 2010 - Math Olympiad (Puzzle Games)

Description:
My 1st IO level for this year and my 1st electric box level. I like this game, and after accidently pressing the "clear all" button (twice), I bring you "It's Electric!" named after some lyrics from a very silly dance craze song. I'm definitely entering this in the Pentathalon Round 1 and I'll probably put it in the Puzzles Category.

Edit: Don't be suprised if I pull out of either of these categories due to my level being exposed as a cheatablle piece of ****. At the moment I'm questioning my own sanity and whether the Greek Financial Crisis truly is to blame.

This is one of those games where they don't give you the code until you beat it, so it's possible. Enjoy. (If you loaded this withen the 1st 4-5 minutes of the release, the code has been updated, so reload it)

that was fun. I beat it in 707 seconds, and I never used that magnet or many of the other devices you gave me.

There are a lot of responces that I could give to someone who just beat the level in an unintended way due to my stupidity. I could blame a lot of things, but it's not Shos or your fault and not many people know about this site, so you are forcing me to blame the Greek Financial Crisis for this fail of a level.

The Crisis is the perfect choice, for it's affecting several other things around the world, and people are mad at it. One could argue that I could say the BP Oil Spill is responsible for this mess of a level, but since several people have awarence of this, I chose a more foereign and lesser known issue, so they'll just assume that it's to blame.

That is my official statement for the cheatability of this level, which has now been fixed (unless you Cretins have another way to beat it).

Lol, Jell. Your version is similar enough to mine and there is no way to prevent you from turning the magnet, so I'll let you off the hook. Can you rate it please?

I could, but I need to stay unbiased as a judge. I can't give my opinions on this until I've discussed this level with the other judges and we've given our professional opinion on this.

But I suggest more red herrings. If (nearly) everything on the map is used, you only need to find the logical chain of events. But if you add all this useless junk, people will try to find ways to use that junk to beat the level. Especially in a game as limited as this, I feel that is the only way to make good levels. If you look at the level I made for this game, Windy, you see that you need barely any of the items I gave. Shos has found two other ways to beat it, but it is still more difficult than if I only gave the necessary objects.
Also remember that unintended ways to beat the level are not necessarily a bad thing. As long as these alternate solutions are not significantly less complicated than your intended solution, the difficulty of the level barely changes.

I beat it in what I think was the intentional way since I used everything. It's still pretty easy.

Ok, I'm swearing that this is the last edit I'll make to this level (within the next 24 hours). I added some red herrings, not to improve my scores, but more for self assurance.

Jell's version is similar to mine; although i never thought that i could turn the magnet away - i just put things in its way to disturb it, lol.

this is definitely not a fail of a level, yaya. actually, I think this adds to your level - the fact that it can be beaten in two significantly different ways, at least, just shows you how complicated the game is and how the level utilizes its possibilities. the fact that you did not know about that way does do the opposite, but had you foreseen all the ways to beat the level, it would add to the rating, imo. for example, in the last level i created, gravity maze, i know of at least 3-4 ways to get the checkpoint, and some 2 more ways to get to the exit... you understand my point, right?

Yes, I get it. I should of lied and said Jell's method was intentional, lol. But yes, I get what you and Jell said. I often treat Jellsprout's wisdom with high regard due to him being foreign, drinking liquor and making a level for almost every game on the sight.

Edit: Damn shos. Your post declairing that I posted on top of your post posted on top of this post. Curse you greek financial crisis!
