Description:
This was going to be a 5th year anniversary cave, but it wasn't quite ready in time. Instead of waiting until a 10 year anniversary I decided I will release it now.

The cave ended up being a little bit messy when I incorporated a huge amount of backtracking to get the gem. I think I managed to stop it being cheatable, but people may have some crazy ideas on how to break the level, you never know.

Currently this is on Jackanory33.

So to be clear, the upload on Harumbai is not the correct starting point for the level? I read your description, but figured since it was uploaded on your main too that it what fine to play it there-- until I reached a seemingly dead end and looked at the preview image and saw I hadn't even began in the right place, lol. Love what I did play, though.

Oh yeah, I sort of forgot my log in details because I was logged in for so long and then I got a new computer so that account is basically stuck like that.

This cave made me remember why I played tons of HatPC several years ago - back then there were still things to discover, things not yet (over)used. This cave is so...fresh. Superb.

No fair. I was gonna rate it that. Once I got further. Seriously, it's pretty much everything that I liked about HATPC to begin with. It's a great balance of originality, difficulty, and fun. Best cave I can remember in a long time. I'll try and get further before rating.

I guess it's a good thing that more than one person wants to rate your level that, but I feel like my thunder's been stolen.

I made a small change to the level to make the gem possible, I think it was far enough on that hopefully people haven't been stumped by it.

Thanks for the positive reviews, it was so weird trying to make a big cave again, it's been a while.

@Soccer: I don't know which email address belongs to the account, but I should give it a go I guess.

This is a great cave! I like how most of the traps are like little puzzles, laid out nice and simple but you still have to think about how to approach them. And I like how the design treads over itself a lot. Some of the timing's really tight (like the speed trap above the pawkeet/monkey section - I usually get hit by the arrow trying to bounce off that wooden crate) but nothing too off-putting so far. I've only made it to the top-middle-ish.

Sorry, it took me so long to rate this. I kept reminding myself to do so after seeing your walkthrough of Wrote Ilke Thade which actually has nothing to do with this sentence I'm writing now that I think about it really why did I even make such a connection?

This level is the as close to a "masterpiece" cave as I will ever probably see. There are definitely other caves that I would give such a distinction to, but they were made before I joined or I've never seen the full extent of them so there isn't any real motivation for me to rate them and explain my feelings. Not to mention going around and just rating random older levels perfect 10s while leaving droves of newer content unrated would look really stupid. Anyways this level is sublime.

Part of what makes it so great is its lack of gimmicks. No pesky door that gets blocked by grabbed that silly treasure, no rising water level, no poorly inserted puzzle, no maneuvers or solutions that the player wouldn't figure out after their 5th try, no cave-a-dozen traps that are indistinguishable from any other level and its mother, no Fiddler required to demotivate you. It is just a fantastic level with creative and engaging traps that don't feel uninspired or forced. I too am reminded of why I got so obsessed over HATPC to begin with. It most certainly deserves the title of Journey, and it is a great one. It is a blast to play, and its grasp of simplicity and fun is amazing.

I see myself going back to this level far into the future. Thanks a million for making it.

I have been playing too, but I don't really want to rate, because... Well, this sort of feels just like any other HATPC level... It's hard to explain... But so far, I don't really see anything very amazing... For now, I'll just blame it on the fact that I'm sort of getting bored of HATPC.

no 'r's alive, you can't hear a british guy says 'there' the-r. it will always be 'the-ah'...
