Description:
The biggest level I've ever created. Took approximately a day and a half to complete. Full of many original and unique traps. The name came from the fact that there are around 5 or 6 areas where you have to choose the correct path first.

Good luck, and enjoy. You'll have to upload this yourself, Goldfun4 is now hosting caves that are aiming for the spotlight.

After about a day and a half of cave making, my biggest, most enjoyable cave is finally here. Full of many of some very common traps and quite unique traps that I've never seen anyone use before.

The name comes from the fact that there are 5 or 6 areas in the cave where you have to choose the correct path first.

Good luck, and please give me some feedback!

I caught you testing the level. And ya, I completely agree on this being your greatest cave, and it being awfully amazing.

This may be another stupid question; what does Patherium mean? Sounds like another element from the periodic table.

Oops, sorry, Goldfun4. It says that in the gallery, though.

And, Patherium is actually not a word. I was just thinking of something that sounded awesome.

Glynisism, Pectus, and a couple of others I don't remember. Do you want the definitions?

O.o Definitions too? Maybe I should think of one.
Go for it, again

Patherium ~ The act of choosing the right path.

I wonder if there is a word for that already.

Glinisism means when you think you're better than others, or when you stock other people around.

Pectus is when a power-outage, or a when you run out of car fuel. Basicly it's when things die (I don't mean human, I mean anything that's not anything alive, such as batteries, electricity, etc.)

Hmm. Interesting. But there are a lot of words for stocking or thinking your better. Like: overconfident, stocking, etc. Not sure though. Your word is probably more precise.

Enough spam. Keep it to PM's please.

Regarding the cave, the traps are almost perfect, but the spikes are ruining your cave. If you were to play the cave, the main reason you were dying would most probably be because you jumped a bit too early/late, or didn't move in the right direction, and ended up dying because of a spike. I mean, just look at the second trap to the left.

Nah, remove some spikes and I'll gladly play it until I beat it.

Without the spikes, the cave looks too plain. I was thinking of taking out a few of the more annoying spikes, but taking all of them out would ruin the look in my opinion.

I know, I suffer from that too. But really, the looks isn't even a quarter of the cave. For example, play Chaos Theory. Pretty plain, but oh so much fun.

Good point. I fixed the one spike that I found the most troublesome. And, tbh, most other spikes are just there for looks you don't typically die from them much. Can you tell me which one was annoying, again?

For example, the spike drop to the left annoys me, it really doesn't improve the cave IMO.

Then, the second trap to the right has an annoying spike (five tiles up into the air).

Remove ALL of these spikes:

Code:
xxx
  w
x
xxx

and variations of that theme.

Now, the trap to the right of the second boulders-breaks-platforms-and-offers-two-different-ways-part has an annoying spike, directly above a segment over three dynamite steel crates.

And so on...

I understand this code would be really annoying. I guess I'll look for all of these and remove them.

As for the spike five tiles up, I could see that being a problem too, I died there twice. I might remove that as well.

The spike drop was put there so there would be something there rather than nothing at all. I actually haven't died there for a while after I got used to the right timing. But I really want to keep that, I don't want too many empty areas.

And finally, for that last thing you mentioned, I'm not sure what you mean.

But how is that annoying? Oh wait. Do you mean annoying as in difficulty or as in look?

Some code examples, then...

Code:
''x
# w
x
xxx

Replace the ' with an open space.
Code:
xxxx
' w
'
'|||

Also,

Code:
 xx
 ww
^
x
x #
xxx

if you're unlucky you can hit the arrow in a way that kills you. Duckjumping isn't an option, the spikes are too close.

That first arrow part shouldn't be a big problem. I'll look into the other ones.

I just beat the entire right part. (choosing to go on the right path at the beginning) I made it to the door. The left path is a lot longer, though. That shows its not too hard

Here I am once again to complain about spikes.

This isn't fun at all:

Code:
x x
x w
x
xo#
xxx

Also, if you beat the right part for the first time two days after the testing was over, then something is wrong IMO.

Don't get discouraged by me, I'm just annoyed by the spikes. I've died way too many times because of them. The cave is really good in all the other aspects.

I have known its been possible ever since I created this topic for one thing. I just never beat it in one go.

And all that stuff about spikes. COME ON! All of the best caves are filled with spikes. I mean I could remove that bit.. but I don't see that being too much of a problem

Thanks, anyway

It's not that it is possible...I mean, Imperio is too, in theory. I don't think you'd release it without testing. But for me, it's necessary to beat my caves in one go, or be very close to, before releasing it.

Oh. Well then all my caves would be like 30x30 which is really dull.

you guys should try this cave, so that when you comment you'll leave this in the recent posts thing so that I will remember to try it when I have time in the future.

and because this is one of goldfun's best levels, apparently.
