Fun fact: Back on Thursday when I had my self-pity revelation about what I'm doing here, in order to make myself feel better, I challenged myself to see how long I could willingly not go on the Interguild while still having Internet access. Keep in mind, a majority of my free time is unfortunately spent on electronic devices, a majority of that majority with Internet access.

That doesn't seem hard to some, but it was slightly painful in a good way, like a herd of okapis giving you a Thai massage. I would've gone longer than 3 days (keep in mind in this time, I did some hardcore minesweepering, youtubing, Lego Racers 2-ing, 9gagging, and my living quarters became significantly cleaner), but last night I legitimately had my 1st Interguild related dream I can think of, in which significant members had similar realizations and stopped coming on also. Ultimately leaving the Interguild deserted with the except of a few noobs (can you imagine all the forum games?). So in order to avoid the collapse of this semi-great society, I had come back on (sounds legit). Anyways, I doubt that a three-day absence got too much attention, but it did make me realize I should come on here regularly, cuz I do have some boring purpose on this site. The end.

I think I was the only one who realized your three day absence.  I was like "I haven't seen Yaya lately.  Must be school..."

Good to have you back, Yaya.

Zomfg, I had 3 mines left in expert mode. It was one of those situations where the surrounding numbers did not help at all. I took a guess and my soul got pwned. That's the closest I've got.

It's Halloween in less than a week! Any of you going trick-or-treating?

I'm not going to trick-or-treat, but I'm going to dress up to hand out candy. I'm going to get a huge over-sized hoodie (by that I mean a size bigger than my current size), so that the hood partly covers my face. I'm also going to get some makeup (not face-paint, I find that a bit unprofessional somehow). I'd put white makeup on my whole face, black makeup all around my eyes, and red on my cheeks for blush.

If any of you are going trick-or-treating, what are you going to dress up as/wear?

well in Israel the Winter semester starts this week. hopefully the winter will come with it too. I have such a small amount of courses this year, so I'm gonna work my buttocks out and be a gazillionaire by the time I'm recruited ...at least that's the plan..

btw, if any of you might wanna know what I'm working at, today I finally got a specific say for that question. in short, we're trying to manipulate stuff into looking like a magnetic monopole..

Yaya, where do you even get this pictures from anyways?

Anyways, I sorta feel the same; Leaving the interguild wouldn't be hard for me, I just don't want to do it because it would be inconsiderate towards the other members to just get up and leave. I wouldn't want to be another fungus, cheops, magnus, jdouble, tehmarz, mysteryman, gaw, dbk, ect. I'd say imtimi/evangruntz/zoink_yoink, but for some reason it seems like we always see him sporadically return and make weirdly entertaining posts about how Livio is comforted by partially filled water bottles.

Other reasons why I continue to try to keep up with it is that entertaining things happen here every now and then, and it's a nice way to procrastinate.

We don't celebrate Halloween in the Netherlands. We do have something similar on November 11th, where Saint Martin (?) is celebrated and kids go around houses singing songs and getting candy.

My next term starts in three weeks. I'm actually supposed to have exams this week and the next two, but all except one of the courses I'm currently following are two term courses and the last course has its grade decided purely on assignments you've had to complete. So I don't have any exams this term and instead I have like two classes per week now.

I enjoy the Interguild, but I wouldn't have any trouble leaving it. I can leave pretty much all of my regular internet sites without a second thought, except for various Wikis, Wolfram Mathworld and my university's site. But I like it here, so I don't see any reason to leave.
All European and many Asian languages originated from India. Only Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and the various dialects there have originated from Latin. German, Dutch, Swedish and many other North European languages originated from Germanic, most East

European languages originated from Slavic and Greek originated from Greek. English is a mixture from its British-Germanic roots, the Scandinavian-Germanic from the viking settlers and the French from the French invaders, making it complete gibberish compared to other languages and a prime candidate for getting abolished as soon as possible.

Today at work, I felt like I was staring in a 'error: you are stupid'. I tried to mesh an 8-coil shaped double helix, if that means anything to anyone, and the program kept collapsing for me. so I changed something, and tried again, and the mesh process didn't seem to be any different than earlier. So I canceled the computation; but while canceling, the program stopped responding. so I tried to close it, but the program can't be closed while it's computing, so end computation first. *sigh*, I can't end computation because it's stuck because I can't end computation?...opened the Activity monitor, and voila, found the process, using 222% of the whatchamacallit. 'end process'. 'COMSOL Multyphysics has prevented the termination of the process to prevent losses of unsaved something'....

for the same reason you can't shut down the computer, by the way.

*pulls cable out of the wall* THERE YA HAPPY NOW GODDAMIT?!?!

It depends on the situation. Sometimes I have a specific image in mind that I've seen before on a website and will just find it. If not, I'll just think of a TV show I've watched recently and see if they have a certain frame from there (this is usually my most common method). All else fails, I'll just type what I'm looking for in Google images (ex: the 3rd pic in my 3000th post was found by typing in, "screaming moustache" on Google Images I believe).

There, exclusive info about my mind's inner machinations of enigmas.

Lol, I obviously would not do well at what you do, looks comprehensively math related. I said conjunctivitised, cuz conjunctivitis is a cool word, so I decided to verboxalump it in retaliation to platypus.
