There should be a way to leave anonymous feedback when leaving negative karma.

well if you just look at the post you'll see what was wrong... if you're referring to a specific post, link me to it, i'll gladly explain to you what was wrong.

You posted both:
Quote: haily would not post
and
Quote: haily posts something resourceful when he posts
this is really confusing. it's also pretty hypocritical that you got upset about the lack of effort, when you didn't put in much to judge.
You gave a pretty narrow ended round, since haily doesn't really do much here except not show up or when he does show up, he says hi, then leaves again.
just another random note, haily was last seen before you supposedly started coming on the interguild haha

Evidently someone doesn't see it the way you do. It's as simple as that.

You're missing the point. Karma is here as a way to anonymously and politely give "reccomendations" about what to post in the future. I'm sure some of the minus Karma you've been getting was the result of you posting something pointless or something that didn't make any sense to whomever was reading it.

karma sucks. it's dumb.
because of it people don't have the openness to tell people what they do wrong. and thus they will continue doing it. karma spamming is way to easy, also
Okay, so this might just seem like a spam and invalid argument, but not really when you look at it.
If you look at -karma, it actually is somewhat rule breaking.
'Interguild Rules' said: Do not insult another person's work (cave or otherwise) without constructive criticism to accompany it.
This is regarded to as "flaming" and is not only completely unhelpful to the cavemaker, but can be demoralizing and hurtful as well.
Code: Wrong...
I'm sorry, but this level is horrible and I hate it.
Code: Right...
That wasn't a very good cave; the arrow trap in the second room can easily be avoided by jumping over the initial crate, and the rest of the cave is skippable if you collect the treasure chest after that and backtrack to the door. As I see it, you need to test your caves more.
Now, this probably only was designed for levels, but isn't someone's post a person's "work"? And isn't giving a -karma rating really just giving people negative criticism without explaining what they even did wrong? I really think that while karma should stay anonymous, it would be better if you also have to type in a reason for your karma vote. This would help people, one way so that people wouldn't be unfairly rated, and another way so that people would look over their opinion for themselves and really see that a -karma rating is inappropriate. You should also be able to view descriptions for karma ratings on your posts to give you a better idea of what to post in the future. Karma ratings are supposed to give people recommendations on future posts, but saying that a post is bad doesn't really give the person any clue on what was bad about their post. | | 01110000011011110110 |

Here's some advice on thwarting NSA spying using encryption (which you'll hopefully find funny if you know a bit about crypto):
"ROT26 is quite secure on its own, but it is a lossy algorithm; that's why it has "rot" in the name. To counteract data rot, you need a salt. I recommend potassium chloride." | | Yaya |

When people who bother me or have nothing important to say begin talking and seem like they won't stop for awhile, I like to imagine myself biting off my own fingers and how it would disrupt the current conversation and send the vicinity into panic. They're apparently only as dense as carrots, and it's just the power of the mind preventing you from doing so, which some PCP can easily take care of. I really like carrots. A much better solution than maturing and learning that there will always be people you disagree with or don't like in the real world.

I don't think it would bother anybody, per se, but I just don't think it would work.
I'd hate to burst your bubble, rain on your parade, or poop in your pasta, but I'm pretty sure there has never been successfully completed Cave Tennis topic on the new Interguild. There was like 4-5 of them within the new Interguild's first year and they all failed or stopped for various reasons that you can go check. And concerning the present, Kro tried to start up the ultimate collab thing a little over a month ago and that died down. You participated in that one, so I'm curious as to why you would think your attempt would end up any different? HATPC is at its lowest activity ever, so I doubt much of the Interguild would participate. I'd estimate about 5 members tops including yourself, in which I would think doing a collab would better spend your time.
So with a hefty no offense, I say that while nobody would actively oppose a cave tennis topic, history is not on your side and you would probably be better off just making a regular collab. Feel free to respond to my points/tell me otherwise.

i was planning on doing: 15 tiles, deleting terrain counts as a tile. you may do 2 updates in a row as long as there is a 24 hour gap inbetween

What do peeps think about trying to get a D&D party together, using Roll20 and possibly skype or something? I know there are timezone issues, but it seems like it would be crazy awesome if we managed to pull it off. Worth the risk?
