I don't like the power box (I still think we should do switches or something, honestly), but the metal crate looks nice. Although it looks a little bit like a cushion... Maybe if you removed or replaced the middle five indents with something else it'd look more metal.
metal crate should be a lighter grey with a few gray tones to it to make it look more realistic. if u cant do that tho then just a lighter grey. and i agree, the current steel crate color is more of a boulder color
I've changed the shading on the power box a bit.
I've also removed the middle five screws on the metal crate.
My idea was to have the four different types of crates be metal, but each a different colour. In a futuristic planet, it would make sense to store everything in metal instead of wooden. Besides, it isn't realistic to break wooden crates with your body either.
Instead, the different classes are shown through colours, with fragile crates being the lightest and indestructible crates being the darkest. I've added four metal crates with my intended colour schemes.
Also, I try to avoid bright colours. This is an abandoned planet. The mood is dark and everything is probably covered in dust.
Edit: Added spikes. Instead of natural stalacmites and stalactites, I went for metal pins.
lol if livio could program it that way so that only the spikes that killed you have blood on them, it could be awsome. then we would be able to make levels in which the goal is to bloody- all the spikes.
Fragile tile should have cracks in it. Otherwise, pretty good but I'm slightly baffled by the thought that you're supposed to crush these with your body.
My plan is to have small explosions come out of them. These explosion cause the crates to blow up, and in the case of wooden crates propel you a bit too.
The explosion could be caused by an unstable chemical compound which explodes when stirred or something.
I'm in a spriting mood now. I've also done the platforms:
Instead of only showing one of them, I've also added three next to each other and put them besides the other one. This is to show how they'll look combined. I'll probably also do something like this for the other graphics.
spikes look weird; maybe try making them look more deadly somehow instead of one of those needle beds.
platforms look great
The idea to have different variations on the metal design is good, but you need more variations to make the differences more obvious. I almost didn't know what you were talking about when I saw
because they all look like the same metal crate to me. I'm assuming you were planning on adding different colors or something, but you should also add textures. Maybe change the border pattern and add some internal patterns.

What do you have in mind for "more deadly looking".
I personally still like the idea of replacing the spikes with mines, but in the last thread I was alone on that.
I was planning on revamping the metal crates anyway. Right now they look too bland. I already have ideas on how to edit the fragile and indestructible crates, but I will still have to think about the other two.
And what do you think about the power box? I personally don't like it, but I have no idea on how to change it either.
- Maybe the power box could use some animation? With sparks and electricity and stuff?
- It's too dim. I think Catta was right about hers being better.
- More detail? Show me visible indications that this battery was assembled? It's a square blob at this point... Where do the screws go in?
- Maybe it could me slightly unstable, and part of it's inner workings are showing through? I don't care if that would make physical sense, and long as it looks better that way.
I just wanted to let you all know that I have Hannah Banana's Wooden crates, boulders and ladders on my downstairs computer(on upstairs currently).
But, we can't use two different artists' works in the final game, because we can't have the wooden crate and metal crate looking this different:
IMO, Hannah Banana's are significantly cooler looking than Jell's(not saying that jell's are bad, but that HB is just really good), but with HB being completely absent from the interguild, should we just completely scratch HB's artwork from the new game until/unless she comes back, and helps us out again? Cuz I can't see her wooden crates and jell's metal crates mixing well together, unless jell can take her artworks, and copy her style.
But, ignoring what I just said, I think that the platforms need to look more wooden, and I'd support the spikes actually touching eachother, or at least making multiple versions of the spikes, otherwise if we make a tunnel of spikes, it'd look really awkward.
I think that you got your left and rights mixed up for the crates, but now that I understand each of the versions of the crates, I think that they're acceptable, unless you come up with a different system, where the material that makes up each crate is different, like glass(fragile), wood(breakable), metal(unbreakable), ???(indestructible)

right now it looks like a needle-bed, like it doesn't have any intentions of killing anyone. Maybe make the spikes towards the edges smaller, and more angled outward? I really don't know what I'm saying, and it probably wouldn't tile very well across several spikes. But I guess just try making each spike a different height.
As for power boxes, right now they look cartoony because of the blue-red-yellow colors. It also looks kinda bland. Maybe you can start by figuring out ways around this. Maybe get rid of the two prongs on the top?
