Update! Must be one of the dullest matches ever, but someone got sent off and someone scored at least. And the person sent off got two yellows in15 minutes after coming on as a substitute. Algeria 0- Slovenia 1.

Now need an excuse to watch Germany vs. Australia...

Serbia - Ghana: 0-1. Didn't watch the match, but apparently a very stupid boxing of the ball by a Serbian defender in his own goal area gave Ghana a late penalty, which they took well care of.

Ok! Germany have already scored an epic goal against Australia in the 8th minute.

Out of curiousity, are any of you guys betting on certain games? Just seemed like a way to make money.

No. Gambling is a sin, you know.

Yes it is, but I enjoy it some times. Thank God, I'm not legally permitted to hit the casinos or races because I'd be broke.

I would bet on loads of games (Germany to win against Australia with at least two goals, Mexico dnb (draw no bet), England to receive more than 1.5 cards against USA) but I'm not allowed to bet on games until I'm 18 by law, and that's three months away from now.

I'm not going to argue with that one. I strongly dislike the football culture and the vast amount of money that rides on it.

I may as well root for the USA now, just to see how far they go. Or maybe one of the Asian teams - I like an underdog.
