We all walked into the town hall to find Yaya's body, lying on the floor, dead, bearing the same distinctive markings as all the others that had been mauled to death by rabid rabbits.

Yaya was 'KarmaBot', Reflector, TOWN Aligned.

TARGET: LIVIO
OBJECTIVE: OBLITERATE

He had been lying next to the Steel Arrow Crate, which had somehow been broken open! We saw that one of the windows in the hall had a gaping hole in it. Looking out the window, we could see Harumbai's house in the distance. We walked over to Harumbai's house to find him lying in his bed, with an arrow through his chest. We leaned over to see if we could identify his body, when he quickly sat up and looked over at us ominously.

Harumbai is 'Dando52', Godfather/Silencer, MAFIA Aligned.

In the absence of Livio, someone needs to step up, and I'm sorry guys, but I think it's gonna be me. Also, everyone's avatar from now on must contain a bunny.

"You think you can get rid of my that easily?" He stood up out of bed an yanked the arrow out of his chest. "Let us head for the town hall. Gather everyone, for I have an announcement to make."

-----------------------

"Order."

I banged my gavel against the podium before which I stood, as the Interguildians continued to chatter amongst themselves, paying me little mind. Some were gossiping about who 'Dando52' would choose to make have a fist fight to the death for his/her (gender is classified) eternal love, while others were playing "Guess the Never-Ending-Story Associated Word and Then Get to 5000 points".

"Order!" I yelled, louder this time, while again striking the gavel against the podium. Finally people took notice and began to take their seats.

"So you all know why we've gathered hear today?" I started.

"Did you find the people responsible?" one asked. "Have we been saved?" inquired another.

"Well yes, and no. You see, we've found the person responsible but..." I was cut off as Harumbai took the stage.

"I'm taking over," he said, calmly. A murmur ran through the town as they wondered what the implications of such a takeover might include. He wasted no time in letting us in on his plans for our town. "As such, I have the following list of demands:

1. From now on I shall be referred to neither has "Harumbai" nor "'Dando52'" but as your "Overlord."
2. Haily shall be banished from this town. We won't be needing him anymore.
3. The Interguild Olympics will not be judged based on how far the javelin is thrown or how high the entrant jumps, but rather, by who can kiss the most bum.
4. All phone lines are to be tapped so that all private conversations can be monitored. I can't take any chances that anybody will overthrow my leadership.
5. Shos' Playground is to be leveled and construction on a military base shall begin immediately.
6. Everybody's pets are to be replaced with bunnies."

"Any objections?"

There was an uproar from the crowd, demanding the council take action against this tyrant. "Silver, Guyguyxtreme," I pleaded, "Get up there and stop this!"

Guyguyxtreme stood up, ready for action, but Silver stayed seated. "I think I'll wait and see how this plays out."

"Ha, you fools! Silver was the one who let me into your town and gave me access to the tools I needed to stage this take over! Can't you see? Silver is 'Quirvy', Roleblocker/Janitor MAFIA Aligned!"

Is there a reason why Acceleron and Intelligence are spelled so differently?

"Come on up here, Silver!"

At last Silver stood and took to the podium on his/her right-hand side. "Go forth and carry out our Overlord's bidding!" she exclaimed.

In the the midst of the resulting hysteria, I whispered to Guyguyxtreme, "What do you think will happen to us now?"

He replied, "The Overlord is going take us all as his/her slaves and use Interguild Town as his/her base as he/she continues his/her quest for world domination."

"Well I knew that! Thanks for nothing 'Captain Obvious', Hint Man, TOWN Aligned."

Hey, that's my line!

The town stampeded out of the town hall and into the street -- there was no way they were going to obey this tyrant! ... Or so they had originally thought. As they fled the town hall their paces slowed, once they realized they were being greeted by rabbit-piloted armoured tanks.

-----------------------

MAFIA WINS!

Congratulations Harumbai, Silver, and Soccerboy13542 of the Overlord Mafia! You've won the Interguild Mafia game! Also congratulations are in order for Harumbai, Silver, and Guyguyxtreme for surviving all the way to the end.

I intend to come up with some sort of award to display on the victor's profiles. The easiest thing to do would be to give them the "Dando52" award, but if you've got an idea for something else, please post it and I'll take it into consideration.

Since the game is now over, you are all (and that means everybody, not just the players) now free to post and discuss whatever you like about the game in this thread and even around the forums! I'll be posting everybody's full role PM's in the very near future, as well as a list of all the actions that were performed each night. As well, before too long, I'll be making the Secret Mafia Forum and Mafia Graveyard forums public.

-----------------------

I slipped out of the town hall before the full extent of the chaos could ensue. I knew I would never be allowed back, but I would still have my memories of the place that it once used to be. Goodbye, Interguild Town. The Interguild, made real -- personified. Interguild Town was a sunny place with green lawns and peaceful streets. On weekends, the kids would bike down to Shos' Playground to... Of course, it's a military base now. I cringe when I try to imagine what the place looks like today.

Along the road away from Interguild town, I ran into Woodstock coming the other way.

"Uh, you don't want to go that way."

"Why not?" she asked.

"'Dando5....' err, our Overlord has taken over."

"Oh that's too bad... But I think I'll take my chances."

"Suit yourself," I said, and we parted ways. I'm not sure Interguild Town will ever see the last of her.

Woodstock is 'rob garrett', Jesus/Miller, TOWN Aligned.

YOU IS LIKE EGG. YOU IS STUPID. YOU IS ROUND AND BORING. YOU IS NO CHANCE AT BEATING ME.

Man, I guess the rule of the Overlord won't be so bad...

but how will we start a new game? This game was the only thing that kept me here...

I mean, you can't really get out of a situation like that...

If we start a new game, it'd be with a completely different theme. A semi-interesting one was suggested in the graveyard: HATPC/HATIC mafia, where the town is crates, and Hannah is going around and breaking the crates, lol.

I wonder if maybe Isa would be up for hosting the next one?

I would, but there's no way that I can make it better than you, lol. Props to CSD for hosting an AWESOME game.

I can host the next one after I get more free time in school - which is, after April 15. Until then, I suppose I can write some flavour text...Also, if I am the host, prepare for Crate theme.

Lol thanks, Isa. It's actually the first game I've hosted, and when I started the first day, I hadn't even played in one either. I am playing in one right now, though -- I'll let you know how it goes once it ends or I die or something.

I will say I think the main thing I would change is that there are too many defensive roles. I was too concerned about fitting roles to characters that I forgot a little bit about making sure they had a decent amount of variety. I think the motivator could have been interesting, but unfortunately it's an ability that never got used, lol.

Both secret boards will be opened soon. I intend to reveal all the secrets before I do so, so it'll still be a day or two. I will say that the mafia forum wasn't the most active forum on the Interguild, to say the least.

Anyway, here's a post about the game's items. Odd-numbered days besides the first day, Isa ('Livio' was going to get the chance to pick an item (aka "Aeon Demo") to display for the town. This wasn't in his role PM, so he had no idea this was going to happen, lol. Whoever unveiled it would have something happen to them -- typically they'd get some sort of power. Here's the PM I sent to Isa on Day 3:
'Isa`s PM' said:
Hello, 'Livio'. Progress on the 'Aeon' theme park that you commissioned is going along smoothly. At present, we have several "demos" available for inspection, and, if you like, we could have one of them delivered to the town hall. If you wish to have one of these "demo" objects delivered to the town hall, just PM me which, and it will arrive later in the day. The following are the demos are currently ready to be delivered:

- Steel Arrow Crate
- Fragile Dynamite Crate
- Treasure Chest

When the object is delivered, the town will be asked for one of them to step forward and volunteer to unveil the demo. The person who steps forward will be the first person to post, once the object arrives, that they would like to do so. You don't know for sure what these objects do and what effect they'll have on the person who unveils it. You yourself are ineligible to volunteer to unveil the object.

If you'd prefer not to have any demo be delivered to the town, I would understand.

- The fragile dynamite crate would have immediately killed whoever unveiled it.
- The treasure chest, while the rest of the town would have been disappointed that the treasure chest was empty, would have granted the unveiler a one-time-use "Jail Keeper" power. A person targeted with the treasure chest would have been both doctored (safe from kills) and roleblocked (prevented from using their night actions).
- An item would have replaced the Steel Arrow Crate on this list on Day 5, but I had yet to decide what that item would have been.

As for the Steel Arrow Crate, here's a slight edit of the PM I sent to Yaya after he unveiled it:
'Steel Arrow Crate' said:
As you unveiled the Steel Arrow Crate, without anybody noticing, you slipped the owner's manual into your pocket.

At night, you may point the Steel Arrow Crate at another member of the town. You lack the necessary force to break it open yourself, but, if you are killed, the arrow crate will be inadvertently broken open in the process, and the person that you pointed the Steel Arrow Crate at will be killed as well.

Pointing the Steel Arrow Crate at somebody takes the place of your usual night action, if you have one. If you do not select somebody to point the crate at on the night that you are killed, the crate will be wasted. If you wish to point the crate at somebody, send me the usual night-action PM, but instead say that you would like to point the arrow at somebody for the night. Please PM me each night, even if it's to tell me that you are abstaining for using any of your actions.

I figured I'd get this one out of the way first because it wouldn't take very long to do up. Full roles should be posted some time tomorrow.

I must say that I laughed at this:
Quote:
Woodstock is 'rob garrett', Jesus/Miller...

And under the list of dead:
Quote:
2. Woodstock - 'a_neezles_a', Jesus/Miller...

Quote:
10. Woodstock - 'Bongo Drums', Jesus/Miller...

While not an actual character in this, I must say that I'm happy that I inspired the name of another character in this game.

Was there any reason Harumbai survived the arrow? Or was it just for story elements? As for roles, perhaps my role should be reconsidered in the future, I won't go into the exact details of my role, but I often just used the steel arrow crate because at least that would have guaranteed results. My main power didn't ensure a kill/save, it was more of a "I'm gonna use this and something that wouldn't of happened will happen".

But like others said, great job CSD. I frankly have to say though my favorite player was Jell by far, even though he died quickly and was independent. I enjoyed realizing how much he confused all of us.

Yeah, I had reflectors: I had 3 I could use every other day to place on anyone, but myself. I'm pretty sure if someone had a reflector on them: 1. Any actions against them would be reflected back on the person who used it. 2. If they used an action, it'd be reflected upon themselves. (those might not be exact, I accidently deleted my role PM in week 3). Anyways, I often couldn't choose someone to use them upon because I'd have no idea if someone would do something to said person, and if that person was involved in an action, what would result of it, for all I know I could've gave a mafia member protection lol..

The every other day rule became unfavorable to me when I got the arrow. The reason I leaped on the arrow shortly after CSD posted it was because I knew my original power wouldn't get me very far, so it'd be either something that'd help me, or it'd be a bomb and instantly baconify me. AND the steel arrow could be used daily, but I couldn't use both on 1 night. Thus I think I used 2/3 reflectors, 1 improper reflector (don't ask) and spammed steel arrows on the most suspicious person I could think of for the other days.

I think I also deserve the recognition for breaking the most rules/talking about something actually important/inferring game-related outside of the game. (2 times both subconsciously lol). I don't think CSD was too happy about those...

I theorized Silver and Soccerboy were mafia shortly after I died. Silver was getting pretty obvious by the end, and I didn't really trust Soccerboy either. It didn't help that I tried to kill Soccerboy on the second night but failed. The only surprise to me was Harumbai, but the others in the graveyard figured that one out.
Also, terrible endgame by the Townies. No lynch votes for two days?

Yeah, this was a great diversion. And it was pretty epic, too; we played for just under three months. People were obviously getting a bit burned out on it for the last couple Mafia days, but until I died it was the #1 reason for me to come and post on the Interguild, and it looks like lots of other players felt the same way, so kudos to you, CSD.

'Dando' said:
If Bmwsu ends up being Town, then I think there's a greater chance of Harumbai being Mafia, and I'd recommend lynching him next day in spite of my investigation results.

Oh well, congrats to the Mafia. I'm looking forward to taking a peek at your secret board.

Storyline:
The animals from Aeon have met up (aftergame stuff) and formed a miniature civilization on "Whatever" planet.
The natural creatures have also joined the miniature civilization. One day, water and food supplies have been cut, and the president has been assassinated. On the same day, all the cabinet and other government members have disappeared into the civilization and the planet is in dehydrated, starving chaos. Once they put the blame on the government, they can find out the motives and how to restore peace. But the government has formed a secret underground mafia, bent on destroying the civilization as it is so that they can rule again wealthy from all the nutrient cuts. The FBI of this planet has been hired to take care of the job, but they have been infiltrated too. Who will win?

Mafia:
Captain Floyd - Godfather/Assassin
Pilot Felix - Spy/Roleblocker
Navigator Ivan (or whoever the hamster is) - Poisoner/Mailbomber

Independent:
Hugsy (Who else?) - Jester

Town:
Wyrmbot - Armed with a knife, many people tend to fear him. Seeing this fear as a good thing, he joins the cops
Sholdphin - Alien
Paul the human - Very nervous human who is homesick - Commuter
Bonebot - Soulless. Always goes with the lynching crowd. If they start a crowd or don't go with a crowd, they will become independent and only have the ability to watch people. Staying with town, they can once 'recharge' and hide.
Rita the Armadillo - Bodyguard
Jean the Cat - Vigilante
Molotov Cocktail merchandiser (Mister Dienahmyt) - Gunsmith or Armsdealer
Hannah (flew there w/ Armin) - Very intellegent with her adventuring careers, she has acquired many skills and is the Jack of All Trades
Armin - Some sort of doctor role

Yaya, the only reason to target Harumbai with the arrow is if you believe him to be the godfather -- he detected as town, remember. However, if you go back an read that role list, and interesting tidbit about the godfather role appears to have been overlooked: "The boss of the mafia. The Godfather is typically innocent appearing to cops, immune to night kills, ... "

But even if Harumbai had died, the mafia still would have won. The only reason day 7 even happened was in the off-chance you managed to reflect a kill back onto Silver.

Even then, the only remaining persons would be Harumbai and Guyguy. Neither would die during the day and Guyguy will die in the night, but Woodstock will respawn a second time. However, it won't matter, because the same situation would arise the next day as well.

So basically, we could have skipped day 7.
