Screenshot!
Spoiler:

The green boxes are Terrain. I was specifically testing the level code parser (which I finished today). The red box is the player, who for now can only walk along the bottom of the screen, because we'll be working on collision detection on Saturday.

So far it feels like we've been getting the same functionality running much faster with less code. It's amazing what a few years of programming experience can do for you.

Now that I've uploaded this screenshot, I feel like I could've at least shrunken the Firefox window. Oh well. Next time...

mfw my name.
I must compliment you on that choice of green.  It really goes well with the red chosen for the player and I think it helps bridge the gap between the white and black background and brings the whole piece together.

How much longer do you have?  I know that you said three weeks, one week ago, so the 28th?

Our artist has a DeviantArt, but like most of my friends who are on DeviantArt, most of her stuff is pretty old:

We have 1.5 weeks left for this sprint, so it will end on the 22nd.

wait are you saying that either aeon is done within 1,5 week, or you continue working on it all alone (if even that)?

To be fair, comparing Flappy Bird to Aeon is like comparing apples to oranges

So the way Scrum works is that you divide your project into sprints. We have one week left on our current sprint, but we have three more sprints after this one. So we are definitely not planning to finish the game in such a short amount of time.

Our second sprint got interrupted by Spring break last week, but we'll finish the sprint on Saturday.

From the top of my head, the current project has these things in it:

A main menu.
A crude level editor that let's you place tiles on a grid.
You can save levels to your local computer with the push of a button.
We're currently working on the Test Level button that allows you to instantly play the level that you're making.
We have a crude test level that you can play.
You can view a preview map of your level as it loads (it's a zoomed out version of the actual level).
Loading times are insanely fast, but we still went through the trouble of making a nice preloader for particularly huge levels.
There's an animated character sprite above the playable character.
You can destroy blocks in the game
You can cause other blocks to fall as a result of having tiles around them be destroyed.
There's a camera that smoothly follows you around the level and adjusts to which direction you're looking at.
There are also many glitches that we have to fix....

Is it too early to give an eta of when a demo will be out or something?? Because right now that info doesn't really say much about how much work is left...

Sorry guys. D: Things got crazy busy since I last posted on here.

Here's a SWF file of one of the current versions of the game. There are many glitches in this one:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/50646273/Aeon.swf
I recommend downloading the file and then running it, so that your browser doesn't stretch it out to 100% width and height.

So we have several "branches" of the project right now, so that people can work on new features in a relatively isolated environment and not have other people's changes break their code. The version of the game that I pulled that SWF from was our main development branch, which is supposed to be the current best-working version of the game, but it's not because we keep merging into this branch too early. For instance, the orange thing is supposed to be an arrow crate, but it looks a lot better in another branch, and then we have another branch that's working on fixing the code that handles player animations (which I broke), and then there's another branch that has a slightly less horrible level editor.

Our sprint ends tomorrow, so we kinda have to get our stuff working ASAP.

It doesn't work yet, I think. Does the dog needs to die when he hit by a metal crate or hit by a fireball crate? I tried the level and encountered glitches but great progress.
