Come join the first competition of the new Interguild! Not only that, but it's the first competition that uses the new system I coded, and it's also the first competition that we've had in about two months. But this is also a chance for you to get used to the new system. You cannot join this competition without a finished entry. And your entry has to be in your gallery if you want to enter it. If you have any questions, read the guide, or post a comment.

HATPC Comp #24 - Innovation
This comp has already ended and has been judged.
Start Date: Saturday, Jan 3, 2009
End Date: Saturday, Jan 17, 2009
Game: Only HATPC content is allowed

Competition Rules:
The theme of this competition is "Innovation". Basically, as long as you're not making a "classic" cave of any specific genre, then you're probably good to go for this one. The more creative you are, the better chance you have of winning. Now, don't stress over the fact that you have to get some new ideas for this comp, because you don't. As long as you're doing things differently than the "normal" way you make a cave, then it qualifies. Your ideas don't have to be original either. If you saw a cave long ago that had a cool idea, then why not try to perfect that idea? Or if you have an idea that you were dying to try out, now's the perfect time. Like I said, as long as it doesn't turn out to be a "classic speed cave" or classic puzzle or classic whatever, then it's good.

And it has to be a new level, too. Why enter an old cave into the first comp of the new site?

Click here for the post that released these results.

Final Results:
2nd: Epitath (HATPC) - GF4
7th: Broken Speed Cave. (HATPC) - Yaya
3rd: Echo Caverns (HATPC) - Ckjr
10th: Hannah_to_the_Rescue (HATPC) - Silver
11th: The Star Allergy (HATPC) - Teo

9th: Agility (HATPC) - soccerboy13542
6th: Boulder Castle (HATPC) - neofriendly

I'd honestly like to enter. My "reverse water cave" as somebody called it, is just waiting to be finished... I might, but I probably won't.

Hah, that was me! I know that!

You should enter it, it's not like anybody completed it previously...but of course, in the end Accel might turn it down because the cave was released to the public before.

Not that Accel knows about that cave, I think, but hey

It's never been officially released, and even then it was only 1/8 done. I've started over since then anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

comps over, and wow! 12 entries. that's better than the legendary steel comp

EDIT: nevermind, evansun quit, so now we have 11 entries. but that's still better than the steel comp.

well, it's time to start judging. so far jell and isa are judges, and I guess I'm the third judge, unless someone applies...

so we need to start judging. and I need to start my homework.. I said somewhere that I had tons of quizes and test on Friday, and despite that, I still got a lot of homework. if anyone want to be the third judge, then we might get the results out faster.

Where is my Pim Fortuyn day? Where is my Theo van Gogh day? Where is my Willem van Oranje day?

Yes, all three of them. Although Theo van Gogh and Pim Fortuyn could be described better as an anti-civil rights movement.
And the only reason he was a civil rights movementist, is because the US has never left the dark ages. Here in the Netherlands we've had equal rights for males and females since 1918, in the US those rights didn't occur till IIRC the eighties.

Anti-civil rights movement? Sounds worthy to me. You should definately try to organize a protest to create a national holiday around their assissinations.

Judges, if you played this on my main instead of uploading it yourself, please rate it. the version on my main is messed up and possible but lots of the level is skipped.
