I think it's safe to say that this competition was a pure success. I saw so many great entries, and they all had their own unique ideas and it was just awesome. Because this is our first comp, it would be nice to give out trophies and attach them to your account or something, but unfortunately, like so many other parts of the site, those features have still yet to be made. But I'm gonna try to add as much stuff as possible this weekend, and judging this comp has given me tons of ideas to add. I even noticed a glitch in the judging page that I had to fix, and I'm wondering why no one else noticed it. Anyway, some of the stuff I'm going to add involves how this news post looks.

Well, speaking of the results, all of us gave out very conflicting results. If you were to compare the individual results, you probably wouldn't see any similarities between them besides the lower rankings. I feel like we could've used more judges because in the end, the average of the results turned out to be pretty random. Anyway, I still think most people will agree with the final results.

Oh and Teo_pl's cave "Star Allergy" was disqualified and put into last place because we couldn't find it anywhere. Isa must've played it somehow and really liked it, since he rated it for third place, but I looked in the galleries and in the forums, and I just cannot find that cave. And since jell rated it for last place, he probably couldn't find it either.

Edit: Ok, there are tons of glitches I have to fix here. You probably won't notice any of them, but as a warning to amins, don't go near the Edit News page. I really have no time to fix any of them right now, so I'll do them tomorrow, if I get time. Anyway, enjoy the results:

2nd: Epitath (HATPC) - GF4
7th: Broken Speed Cave. (HATPC) - Yaya
3rd: Echo Caverns (HATPC) - Ckjr

We really do all look for different things in a cave.
I know my main criterium was how well it actually fitted the theme.

Cedric, I put you in fifth place, it was the others that bumped you down

Neo, Jell actually rated your cave as third best. Be happy When taking into consideration that you're not a very active caver, at least not in comparison to the ones that placed after you, you should be happy

Actually Gold, I didn't see the innovation in your cave either But I based my ranking of how fun I thought the cave was, not how original, so I put you into a rather good position.

that's one of the glitches that I have to fixed: the fact that results don't show on the comments page.

At first, I simply rated them on how much I liked them. I actually really liked Agility and was giving it a fairly high rating, and cedric's cave had an awesome idea. but then I decided to really look into the design of these levels, and I changed my order around. I'm not sure what my exact order was but I think I did end up putting my cave for second place. I guess it's because I know my own cave better than anyone else, but I seriously compared every cave to mine individually and questioned which I thought was better, so don't think I was being biased... And I think it was Echo Caverns (if I have the name right) that I placed in first. And I wanted Trip to no Grav to be third, I don't remember who I wanted fourth (I think it was Broken Speed Cave; that was a really cool idea-- or maybe it was Midnight III...)

You shouldn't make the judges decisions get deleted when the results has been declared

And if you don't like a cave, you shouldn't give it a high rating. That's just my opinion though. In the end, you play the game because it is fun, not because the design of a cave/game is good.

I mean, c'mon, if you just look at the design then Chaos Theory would never  be able to win this contest.

Also, you put Midnight III at least three places behind you, I can tell that. I saved Jell's judging along with my own in a .txt file, so there's no doubt.

well, the fact that you like it is part of the design isn't it? it might theoretically be well-designed by our standards, but if it's not fun, then technically it's not well designed.

But it's not like I threw some of my favorite levels into the bottom of the ranks because I later decided it wasn't well designed. If anything pushed them down, it's because I liked some other levels more.

hey I wasn't being biased. If I was, I would've just put it on first place and say that everything else stunk.

I placed it at eight place (I really don't like that cave, sorry Accel) and Jell at fifth. However, because Teo got disqualified, you can argue that I placed him at seventh place.

Acce, for CC#2, you used the wrong snowflake of doom. You want the one without underscores in the title.

why do you have two snowflakes of doom in your gallery? Or did I accidentally add it myself? 0_o

hey, I wasn't biased. I spent most of my time strictly comparing each cave to mine individually in an effort to avoid bias. If anything, it just means that I thought this cave was better than a few others.
