If you're like me and you prefer Firefox over Internet Explorer, then you know about how you can't play user levels with Firefox. And I found it really annoying to have to open IE every time in order to play HATPC. So a few weeks ago, I created a desktop shortcut that will open HATPC automatically in Internet Explorer. Ever since I started using it, I was willing to try more caves than usual and it saved lots of time while CaveMaking too.

You can read this guide here. I wonder how many people will actually use it though. Oh, and this is also the first new HATPC-related thing to be added to the new site. Everything else was just site construction and comps.

Not that we need it or anything...this was mainly for the FireFox users, because they cannot play HatPC in FireFox.

Ehh... I really wouldn't find a use for it, seeing as how I'm a IE user.

IE is about as good as FF, now that they have tabs.

I noticed an irregularity while using google chrome. When you resized the hatpc screen. When i played a level, Left Out, something weird happened. I took a screenshot.

no, the article still exists, that's just a broken link from before the article system itself was made. you could find it if you looked in the Guides and Tutorials section: http://www.interguild.org/articles/?id=21

Does it at least open the "hatpcinie.html" page? If nothing happens after that, it could be that your pop-up blocker is blocking the game from opening

I open it, try playing HATPC, then all of a sudden it closes by itself and makes the computer restart itself.

makes the computer restart itself?

Well, there's a javascript thing in the "hatpcinie" file that makes the original window close itself so that only HATPC stays open. Smart browsers like Chrome and Safari don't let you do that, though
