ShareThisSunday: New panic smiley!!!
submitted by krotomoSunday/Monday: Interbot (an upgraded version of Intertester) takes over the Interguild and announces that changes would be coming soon. During his reign, he TERMINATED dando52 and other such opposition. Quirvy saved the day by suspending Interbot.
Sometime this week: An old spam account that has long been banned has been commandeered by Quirvy and renamed to "Intertester", so now we have both Interbot and Intertester.
Monday: New awesome layout released. Now the Interguild has some dignity.
Later that Monday: Haily made an amazing image background for the new layout, making it look even cooler.
Tuesday: Yaya broke records in the topic of A link to the old site, when his post there managed to reach +8 karma.
Tuesday: The Cavelist has been updated to include more browsing options and a new Favorites Page, which essentially allows you to create your own personal CaveList out of all of the levels that you have praised.
Wednesday: The news posts have been updated to look cooler without the avatars.
Thursday: I finally started adding karma to levels, videos, news, articles, etc, when suddenly controversy broke out! Some people were opposed to the ideas of having karma in levels, videos, or news. A new poll has been made in the Criticisms and propositions for the new site topic to help us settle this. I went ahead and added karma to articles, and because of the article system's unlimited authors thing, it was torture to code that.
Thursday: The Aeon board has been re-opened because ideas for the new game have spiked in the last couple of days, and the fact that after releasing the layout, I should begin working on the game again very soon.
Thursday: Bmwsu and Quirvy were competing in the chatbox with the custom name feature when Quirvy decided to really change his name using his staff powers. He changed his name to ☺ and then to 0_o which is actually a valid username. Isa also changed his name to some sort of empty-space. CSD was angered by this blatant abuse of staff powers and briefly suspended Quirvy from the staff, which of course triggered an argument in the staff forum.
Thursday: Motivated competitively by Teh Marz's far superior Cave Search, I began working on ways to rip off his ideas and add them to the CaveList. Already up are the new stats that are recorded, such as dimensions, terrain type, water type, and the presence of water in the cave. It's still under construction, and I'm currently working on TWO map generators: one with mini-pictures so that you can essentially have a quick look at the cave, and another with full-res images so you can pretend that you actually loaded the cave when you didn't.
Friday: I declared that I have found my inspiration for my IO Freestyle Video entry, and that I shall pwn all with it.
Friday: Disaster strikes. While writing up this huge post, the universe warped, chaos ensued, and all of this text was lost, so I had nothing to do but start all over.
Articles
Remember Jebby's History of HATPC? It was an article on the old site, and yesterday the article has been found and submitted. Today I approved the article literally as I typed this post.
Levels
There are 8 new levels this week:
Zero G III by Quirvy: This is Quirvy's entry into the Interguild Olympics Large HATPC Levels category. I actually really liked this cave. It's a lot of fun trying to figure out how you need to use the 59-objects-falling-at-once glitch. If you haven't tried it, go try it now, or at least watch the walkthrough.
Zichaci by Harumbai: Also Harumbai's entry into the Large HATPC Levels category. I think I'm the only one who's played this through to the end. I even posted a full review for the level and ended up rating it a 9.9. I thought this level was amazing and well-made for the most part, so you should definitely try it.
Oh! Gravity by Bmwsu: I didn't think this FR2 level was that great, but it is pretty cool. And there are some people who gave it really good rates, which ultimately leveled out mine.....
Future Floating Ferry by krotomo: I didn't try this yet, but judging by the map, it looks pretty good. And no one has rated it yet
you guys should go rate it..Midnight VIII by Quirvy: OMG, the 8th Midnight cave! And he's entered it into the IO Small HATPC Levels cateogry!
I can't believe I haven't even tried this yet. When I finish typing this, I'm gonna go and try this...Uprising by Yaya: I didn't get very far in this yet, mostly because it was in this topic that I became competitively motivated to make my CaveList better than Teh Marz's Cave Search. But I tried it again this morning and it looks like a large, complex level. And the fact that he's using water in it fascinates me, so I bet there's some really cool thing with it.
Critical Condition by krotomo: This is an impressive level by Krotomo which was released just today. It's not too tough and the only bad thing I have to say about it is that it's not too original, but you should definitely try this cave.
This is also his entry into the Large HATPC Level category for the IO.Crazy Arrows by sinpokman: This is sinpokman's entry into the IO Small HATPC Levels category and it's a lot of fun. Shos refused to play it because it looked very unoriginal (all you do is dodge arrows while standing in one spot, but I actually enjoyed the level.

. Quirvy released his walkthrough for Zero G III pretty quickly. It's probably so people can actually see the cave after claiming to not have been able to get anywhere in the cave.CSD's Mega-Slow, Super Boring HATPC Playthrough by canadianstickdeath: Lol, csd sent me this vid on megaupload, and then I uploaded it to the site with questionable quality and the dimensions of 160x120. When you go see it, the video has been stretched to twice the size and the quality is even worse, but all that to save file size. This video is about 50 minutes long, and I have no idea why we have it or why CSD made it.
Rock Desert reMake by Bmwsu: A remake of the original 7-second video, but now it's 14 seconds long!
Future Stuff
I'm currently working on that map generator for the CaveList, and then I'll make the stats display look better and also add some more browsing options that use those stats.
I've also been trying to make a real logo for the site and some link-back images to help advertise, but so far I have artist's block.
One of these days I'm gonna start really working on Aeon again, now that I've finished this new layout and other big projects....
