When you view a level, right before the comments, you'll find a new feature that lets you jump to nearby levels. It's basically a "Next" and "Previous" button to take you directly to either the next/previous newest level.

However, there are extra options, that let you change the "order" by which the nearest levels are located. You can go to the next level based on the scale of ratings, difficulty, size, date, and even titles, if you are browsing alphabetically for some reason. You can also specify if you want to limit your quick browsing to that specific game.

By default, the order of the next and previous buttons are made to follow the order of appearance of the Browse Levels page, where clicking "Next" will take you towards an older level, rather than a new one, but this can be set to your preferences by changing Descending to Ascending.

Also, when you do standard searches, such as when you click on the "Top Rated Levels" link, the search will carry over on the next page to the quick browsing options so you can easily begin quick browsing with no hassle. I originally wanted your entire search to carry over, but then you'd have to have some way to look at all of your search options and maybe change them, and that'd just be ugly. But I dunno, maybe I'll add such a thing eventually.

By the way, I also updated the way the Related CaveList Results looks like.

Lol. So, I'm randomly clicking next on size descending, and it keeps sending me back and forth between AC:XP (Uploadable), and The Forth Dimension. Clicking previous on either takes me to CSD + SHOS. Repeatedly clicking previous from there alternates me between CSD + SHOS and AC:XP. I'm stuck?

I thinks they are the same size....

Also if you say descending difficulty on a level that hasn't got a difficulty rating... Oh Noes..

I presume (or is it assume?) that tghis would happen with actual rates too.

Upcoming HatPC level: Sanctuary, coming soon to an internet browser near you...

Yeah, difficulty and level ratings cause, divide by zeros? Going past the end of the title quick browse causes a reasonable thing to happen, so I guess it's just because they have zero ratings.

That said, I'm not sure I really like this feature? IMO it just adds more clutter to the already cluttered and disorganized level pages.

The feature is good but you shouldn't have placed the buttons there - instead, you should just have placed the to the far left/right of the title, I think.

That's a good idea Isa, I shouldn't have to see the whole level to see the next one.

Lol, even though that wasn't what I proposed it is still way better this way than previously.

Still, one shouldn't have to scroll down the page to get to see the next levels

hey I think I finally figured out how to fix the glitches of when two levels have the exact same rating, which I'll try right now.

And the way I see it, when you load a level, it should have all the important stuff first, then under the level we can post links that promote further browsing.

I tried fixing some of the glitches with ratings, and I avoided the glitch where you can get stuck going back and forth between two caves, but now there's a chance that you can skip over some caves...

Wouldn't it be easier to determine the order by level ID in case of a tie?

already does, but the reason why it wouldn't work was that I tried coding it too fast and got disorganized and lost track of a really dumb mistake I made. What I was talking about in the chatbox was making it separate them based on total number of votes for when you're browsing based on ratings, but then I thought it would be a hassle b/c I'd have to add a check to THAT in case that itself has a tie...

fixed. it was just a typo... which was repeated in several areas due to copying and pasting...

I guess I should've tested that first.
