Weekly Update - 12/22

Sorry this weekly update is so late. And you know, I probably shouldn't even be writing this week's update because I almost never showed up last week because I had final exams, and I didn't show up during the weekend because I was finishing some college application essays (with which I'm still not done). Speaking of my finals, I did extremely well: three 100%'s, two 98%'s, and a 97%.

Anyway, on Friday, Isa opened up a topic for nominee suggestions for the Best of 2009 Awards. You still can't see the full list of nominees that we're considering so far, but we're thinking of opening up all of the final categories for voting some time after January 1st.

Yesterday, the neezles comp ended, and with only two entrants.

I was going to join, but for some reason, I never got around to it. But on Sunday, I started a new video comp, and it's actually something that most of us would be interested in joining.

Not much else happened this week, that I know of. I know that there were crazy snow storms through the U.S. last week. And that on Sunday the U.S. Senate made a crucial vote on the Health Insurance Reform Bill. And yesterday was the winter solstice. Lol, at this point I'm just adding more stuff to this update to make this post look better...

I haven't made any progress on the new layout since the last update, but I plan to continue working on it today. EDIT: In fact, today I'm starting to convert this design into actual coding.

I don't like to show a preview until I'm actually sure of the design, because there's a lot of experimental stuff in it. I'll probably show a beta version of the layout (probably just the front page or something) after I set some of this stuff up

There has been no progress in Aeon for a while. I think I was still reworking the collision tests to be more efficient and independent from the order in which it finds objects that you've collided with. Right now I'm rushing to finish this new layout before my break is over. And that's a lot of work to do.
