This weekly update bought to you by Bmwsu!

It was Independence Day here in the U.S.A. last weekend, which is isn't the reason why this update was a week late.  The weekend was filled with many proud Interguild members flying the flags of their countries.

Some weird thing called the Interguild Olympics started.  This was followed up by a second week of level-making fun!

Speaking of the IO, 17 new levels were released, most of them being for said event.  A few Minecraft levels not relating to any given comp were released as well.

In other competition news, the First Official Minecraft Competition was judged

The Mafia Endgame was posted, after a long wait, satisfying many people.  However, this euphoria only lasted less than 6 short days, as sign-ups for the next Mafia game was opened to the general public to once again fill them up with anticipation of debating on murders, mysteries, mayhem, money, and monkeys.

I came up with a great suggestion, though some people didn't agree.  I'm still waiting, Livio...

Quirvy showed us all how much fun text can be... when infinite white screens and ASCII art come together! --

Livio posted a bit of the Aeon code.  No idea what any of it means, but it makes it feel like he's making progress on Aeon.

Episode two of the Interguild Minecraft Server Tour was released as Part 1 and Part 2, which were the only videos released this week(s).  It looks like Livio is starting to improve his Minecraft videoing skillz, to a certain point.

Dekudude posted a great guide to creating music with Noteworthy Composer.  Despite the fact that it was well written and illustrated, Yaya still manages to do something wrong.

Silver released a bunch of comics for our viewing pleasure.

Despite the fact that we all tried our best, we still can't read instructions.  Maybe next time, try to spell it out more carefully for our inferior brains that failed English.

Thomas has once again shown us the amazing ability he has in FAILing on a weekly basis.  However, he continued to post bad ideas, even after his first one was a a disaster.

GF4 showed us the art of WINING by racking up 14 positive karma when he posted episode two of The Interguild: Season 2.

If you see any messed up links in this update, blame Chrome.

I'm really not sure. But Chrome also messes up my HATPC window by letting me resize it AND adding page margins to it, which causes all sorts of display issues.

HATPC is fine for me, and I use Chrome. The links are still strange, though. Maybe it's your computer that's screwing with HatPC?

Last I checked, Chrome updates itself automatically. And I'm not the only one having this issue. Maybe we have some kind of add-on installed that glitches it up?

I have Window Resizer too. I can disable it and see if it makes any difference.

same here

I wonder what's keeping shos's chrome from updating? I thought Chrome always had automatic updates, unless he turned that off somehow. Or maybe he just never closes Chrome.

I've developed several theories on this matter:

(1) Microsoft employees have manage to infiltrate the ranks of Google, in order to bring down the company through acts of sabotage.

(2) Google unwittingly hired former IE employees who are now infesting Chrome with the same kind of browser fail that made IE so infamous.

(3) The Google Chrome team is experiencing a "brain drain" in which its best workers have been transferred to work on the next horizon of Google products, such as the complex Google+ overhaul. This leaves the Chrome team to rely on cheap work done by interns who will probably not get hired by the company and will instead get picked up by Microsoft.

(4) Maybe our site is using outdated HTML and CSS techniques...

Knowing you, this is probably the reason.  Have you ever validated the pages?  Do you use any deprecated tags?

Lol there's 540 Errors, 77 warning(s).

Fix all of those Livio. I saw some cases where you have not ended divs correctly and you thought this layout was so great.

Wow, I just +karma'd Thomas!

It's true, though.  The 77 warnings are probably the fact that the avatars and signature images don't have alternate text.
