This week's update is once again brought to you by Thomas. His efforts are definitely worthy of karma.
Last weekend started off with Shavey Dave attempting to start a new forum game. The topic was locked pretty quickly though (by jellsprout of course) because it encouraged short posts and no conversation.
FlashMarsh made some topic called World Okapi Day and then some troll who didn't agree with it minus rated a bunch of posts in the topic. I don't really get this Okapi thing so I just ignore it.
Apparently there's an interesting discussion here about games and level editors but I can't tell you much about that because that is outside the scope of my interests.
Quirvy got a new avatar!
I don't usually cover Minecraft updates but this is probably important. On Monday, Livio made a huge map of the Interguild's minecraft server and uploaded it to the site so people without Minecraft can sort of see what the whole world looks like. More Information >>
Yaya tried to go as long as possible without going on IG. On the fourth day, he logged on and found he missed World Okapi Day. Four days without IG is pretty bad, I went almost 5 months early last year without logging in here.
There was some off-topic discussion in the Interbot was is here thread but it doesn't look very interesting so I won't bother linking to it.
A new competition started on Thursday and unlike the other ongoing competition, this one is not a DDA comp so go read the rules and enter your Knytt Stories level/story.
Nobody got the close encounter award for a while and it was not because Haily never came on, rather, everybody already had it and now even Shos has it.
The Art Thread is back. I see no new art though.
Isn't this getting old?
Mafia game #3.5 is starting to start but if you haven't signed up and you are interested in playing then be sure to sign up as a replacement and maybe you will be able to play. Apparently game #4 will be starting sometime in November though.
A total of 7 levels were added this week:
- Flying away. (FR2)
- Aroundtheround (HATPC)
- A Nice Cup of Java (HATPC)
- payback (HATPC)
- level six reborn (HATPC)
- Quick_speed10 (HATPC)
- aroundtheround v2 (HATPC)
Post of the Week!
Soccerboy13542 and Yaya.
Fail of the Week!
Who else?
Dud of the Week!
I don't understand why this topic was minus rated. Some troll minus rated a lot of posts in this topic as well but the first topic is the official dud.
I was recently looking at how amazing HTML5 is and then I started playing around with CSS and I have redesigned the important notice box.
Important Notice From Livio!
"In Aeon, we have a class called KeyMan (Key Manager) who efficiently handles and customizes keyboard presses. This is a screenshot of KeyMan's code if you zoom out far enough."
Important Notice From Thomas!
On October 31st, IceCaves will return from the dead so everybody should go make an account and bring activity back!
I wonder if anything will happen to IG this year similar to what happened last year... User Comments (12) | Livio |

Meet KeyMan's brother: AssetMan. His job is to hold all of the externally loaded images, sound, and youtube/music files.

Interguild Update: Thanks to nebnebben for submitting this, but we have now added Super Mario Flash 2 to the site! Here's the description I wrote:
The visuals and physics are heavily based on Super Mario World. Just like in the first game, you can't run, but this time you can grab items, such as shells. Other additions include: checkpoints, Yoshi, and water. You can still jump continuously by holding down the jump button, but it wouldn't be an SMF game without it.
EDIT:
And I've also added Electric Box 2, submitted by shos. Can someone please check for me and see if the levels are URL's or level codes? I think it's URL, but it looks like the game also accepts level codes?? | | Yuggy |

lol that one really was a nice fail but generally, I don't think it's that bad, it's just that people tend to -rate posts taht are already -ed, especially if that's funny. If I could, I'd make that post again - the fact I guessed an already guessed letter, CORRECTLY, justifies the post, lol.

..
I also think the other fail came to be for this reason. consider jell posting a "let's create a win of the week instead!" instead of the same sentence with fail; do you think the post would have gotten 20 votes like the failing one? the original was -rated 14 times
btw, I should totally be the win of the fortnight to have survived both these posts and still stay with the same overall karma, give or take I dunno what it was exactly, but I remember being 150+, and i'm 149

I noticed that, realized that despite shos' stupidity in calling someone else a douche for not noticing a letter was guessed and then guessing a letter already guessed, the large amount of hate was still partially unwarranted due to the guy running it leaving out lots of vital letters, and +1'd him for it. You're just taking the saying that you think something shouldn't have happened, but then you never did anything to try to prevent it from happening.
