What I'm hoping will be the fifth dungeon of a quest I'm working on. I was too lazy to put any music to it. Also, watching this will probably spoil the first half of the dungeon for you, so don't watch for very long if you don't want it to be ruined.

wow our first non-HATPC vid.

I'd watch more, but you told me not to... but I guess it's safe? because who knows when I'll get a chance to actually play it.

Probably watch it. It'll ruin the finding of where you're supposed to go for the first half (but there's still be a lot of walking around in the second half, I guess), and the solution to a tricky block-push puzzle. Actually, maybe you should stop watching at the puzzle. Try and figure it out yourself, lol.

the parts with multiple levels of height look weird. It's kinda disorienting watching what looks like you walking on higher or lower floors in a room

Lol at the different graphics you used in the game. There is part LttP, part LA and part LoZ. They don't mix too well.

Serious? 16 bit and 8 bit don't mix.
Compare the interior of the dungeon to the outside. Or compare Link to the Darknuts and Like Likes. The styles are completely different.

The outside is just temp screens, but it will look something like that... I don't get what the problem is, lol. It's just the pure tileset. Don't blame me, lol, talk to the guy that made it. I suppose... I chose that tileset, but mainly 'cause it's one of the easier ones to use.

It's a game called "Zelda Classic". It's basically a clone of the original Zelda for the NES, but with a level editor (called "Z-Quest"). If you head over to the gallery's version of this thread (the one for level 3, which won 2nd in the all-game comp, will work too), there's instructions there on how to play it. Some people do have trouble getting it running, so feel free to post there if you need any help.

Oh I know. The instructions on "how to play it" include where to go in order to download it.

I don't get it. The first time I tried to get the 1st key for the dungeon, the boomerang hit the treasure-revealing thing. But why can't I do it anymore???

Would you have figured out the block-push puzzle? I think it's pretty crazy, but if you've ever played the faerie cave on cavetester, it would likely have been immediately obvious to you. I try to make this puzzle in basically every game, somehow, but I haven't figured out a way to do it in HATPC, yet.
