This is how you were supposed to beat Midnight. Oh, and The Rise is in it, too.

I didn't deviate too much, you know. Once I figured out what the difference was, and concluded that my way made more sense.

Yeah, but mine is much cooler. The only point of that one arrow you took advantage of was to destroy that metal crate. To this day, I still have no clue how you got rid of that metal crate. So at least you know what's going on in my WT.

And how did it make more sense to go through that secret area, when you could have just jumped up the platforms?

It gets destroyed by the dynamite that I knock down using the arrow at 0:49.

Oh. That wasn't the point of that dynamite. I had to look into the cavecode to see what it was supposed to do. The dynamite's only purpose is to make those 2 treasures accessible, by activating 2 arrows at the same time.

It's not my fault that your cave has a glitch that looks like it's what you're supposed to do.

Well, it's not my fault that my way is much cooler. Wait. Actually it is...

You're way actually cheats the puzzle a little, as you can do less to complete it. But you surprisingly didn't do less in your wt. I think In your way don't need to push the boulder under the arrow.

I haven't watched it, so I have no idea what you're talking about. So far as I know, the only thing "extra" that I did was take the secret area when I didn't need to.

And your cave has a bug. Maybe fix it? Geez man, I found something that worked and I went with it.

There's no way to fix it. Or at least no easy fix. I could do some crap, but honestly, why? Now that everyone knows how they should be trying to beat it, it's not really a big deal.

BTW: This one time I managed to beat it with both the gem and heart.

I haven't beaten the rise. I seem to always die in the region of traps directly after the boulder area.

It looks like The Rise ramps it up in difficulty after the first bit... There are a few parts in there I don't think I would have had the patience to master. Actually, nah, there are probably harder caves of yours that I've beaten.

And a walkthrough for the original Midnight! That's a bit overdue!

Nice video, anyway.

lol yeah, I was wondering what this was. For some reason I thought that this just couldn't possibly be the original Midnight and that you forgot the numeral or something

This is the original midnight. Sinpokman used CSD's walkthrough to recreate it.

Oh. Oh right, I remember watching CSD's because I remember him saying that the cave was a mess and Quirvy going "Hey, c'mon now." Not in those words.

Cool anyway.
