Welcome to the Interguild's Video Archive! This is a database of all of the videos that our members have made. While we do not provide a way for you to directly upload videos onto our site, we let users upload them to their own accounts on video sites such as Youtube or Google Video. We then embed the videos onto here so that you can find them all in one place.

If I were to rate Midnight IX, I would give it a 4 based on this video (I would give it a 3, but the ending solution was actually very clever). I don't know what you were thinking, designing a cave that hard.
Good video though, and nice music. You can still make it a bit less conspicuous when you change clips, though. (But I'll bump your score up .5 for the trouble you went through... although you should have just sucked it up and did it in one take anyway) | | Isa |

lol @ the water section?...your caveplaying skills equal a shoelace =]
and now seriously. i have decided that i will not have time at all to play all the midnight series, so i watched this walkthrough; it was nice; the starting bit jumpes alittle, but the rest was nice; no signs of bad editing; so overall 4.5, cuz it's good but not such a shos.
edit: i just realized that my user here is shos; in hebrew a shos is something big and extraordinary, so 'such a shos' doesn't mean me, it means something big and extraordinary like snowflake or RODB.

Actually, no, Sinpokman. You'll have to wait until he uploads a version without music. | | shos |

This is not a cave that I would ever be able to do in one go. The water section is just plain too hard. And the duckjumping part is pretty hard, as well. I would probably give myself a about 0.1% chance of me being able to beat this cave. Actually, that's probably generous. Either way, this level is way too hard, and my playing skills are way too poor, as you can see by the end of the walkthrough.
As for everything else, I didn't actually include the message "That was really hard" to inform you that it was really hard. I had to do it, because, between takes, the terrain pattern had a noticeable change. I had to find some way to hide it, and that was really the best I could come up with, well, other than redoing the entire walkthrough.
Also, how many people noticed what I did with the music? Cuz nobody mentioned anything about it, and I'd think that someone would notice it.

Well, the walkthrough is about 1 minute longer than what you asked for the music to be... | | Quirvy |

Well, it shows how to play the cave, I guess. Clever design, but way too hard for me to want to play. The really annoying thing about this cave is that the fall on to the platform at around 0:58 is impossible every time I try it; the spike always kills me. Repetition of music... -0.5. Decent video otherwise. And perhaps you'll learn that putting puzzles in water isn't fun. | | Quirvy |

There we go! Someone finally pointed it out!
That fall at 0:58 shouldn't ever happen, as long as you are holding left. It's not luck based at all.
Puzzle caves underwater... There's nothing wrong with them at all. It's just the way I made it in this cave. 4am does a better job of underwater puzzles.
If you take away most of the unnecessary spikes, it would have been much easier.
I still stand that if I made the water area easier, this cave would have been much much easier than you guys make it out to be. It might be hard to solve, but the difficulty of the solution would be much easier.

still, that was a cool walkthrough. nice music and a cave that's interesting to watch get beat after I spent hours doing the first trap only half-right | | Quirvy |

Is Yaya the only one who liked the ending? I thought I'd at least get some more comments about those.
And towards shos, claiming that I have the caveplaying skills of a shoelace, shutup. Your computer is about as fast as this guy. In the heat of the action, your forced to do things under pressure in limited time. These decisions are usually incorrect
And to make it worse, some of those deaths were just unfair. I wasn't even close to the down-facing arrow; I also wasn't close enough to the skull to deserve to be killed by it.
Seriously, though; if I had my old computer, I would have totally beaten the water section with ease, and I'd be here talking about how easy this walkthrough was, and how I got halfway through imperio, and such, because of how awesome my caveplaying skills would be.
Fast computers suck

I thought the ending was cool too, but I had a feeling that it would end that way, so it kind of spoiled it for me. | | Sefro |

I commented on the ending.
And what's this about fast and slow computers? The speed of HatPC in this walkthrough is the speed the game is meant to be played at. So it's the normal speed, and computers like Shos' are slow. I'm not aware of a computer that runs HatPC "fast".
How many people actually play the game at the normal speed, though? I'm beginning to think I'm one of the only ones, what with people calling it "fast" and such.
And I did notice that you looped the music, but I just didn't really care because it was an okay tune. | | Quirvy |

No you didn't. You commented on the ending to the cave, but not the little outtakes afterwards.
Yeah, it's normal speed, but when you learn how to play hatpc in slow speed, slow speed becomes normal speed, and normal speed becomes fast speed.

My old computer allowed me to play caves at a slower frame-rate, which meant I could beat a lot of difficult caves. This laptop is normal speed and it gets me every time with it. Shos is lucky to be living in bullet-time. | | shos |

bullet time? xD
i don't think it's lucky; it's much easier to play slower; like when filming. when i usually play caves, it's superfast, and sometimes, in speed caves, this makes it much harder for me.

hey, if my computer was your speed, I'd have beaten imperio three times by now
...
...Or not... But that's not my point. You have no grounds to bash us when your computer is this fast
And even if your computer isn't actually that slow, you still have no grounds to bash us, since you have superhuman caveplaying skills.

besides, 'you have no grounds to bash us'? why would you say that? i never bashed anyone for speed of their computer, you know. your post looks as if you're defending yourself from something.

No, I mean, you have no grounds to bash my caveplaying skills, however bad they are. You have way above average skills.
