Description:
After months of Dando praying that my next cave will be the Ascent, it's finally happened.

I think this cave may be a little bit too hard, but I dunno. It's just that the 3 middle sections(specifically the one with all the arrows) and the puzzle at the top that have me worried that I failed here. I probably shouldn't have put that there, but you know, it shouldn't be that hard to work out. And if it is, I'll help you guys out.

I don't even know if Dando knows that I've been working on this since Wednesday, even though I've posted publicly about it, and Isa's been asking about AII on the chatbox a while.

Here's a little background though. For a while, I had planned that on April fools day, I was going to put up a cave called "April Fools!" Which would cause a shockwave error before it could load. This is by putting a clone as the first character, not the cheap little 67890 characters. Anyways, I was gonna tell Dando that I was making progress on the ascent II, and then when she would load my secret side account, she'd find that I was just joking. But I felt a bit cruel about the idea, so I decided that I was going to actually start working on the actual sequel, that way the joke wouldn't seem as cruel. I don't think Dando ever did load that april fools cave. I posted right after she logged on, but I don't think she saw the post.

Anyways, it's up on DOVALION right now.

Yeah. That room was a real pain to get to work. That had many unfun glitches, and I still think it's a tad bit too hard.

Geez.

Okay.

You're supposed to hit the upward facing arrows, jump the first set of arrows, and then duckjump the ones that follow it. But you need to wait until you're past the metal crates, or you'll get trapped, and you also can't jump onto the platform because of the arrow that will drop onto it.

Then you hit the arrow, move out of the way, and push the boulder to the left so that you can access a secret area.

Those 1st few traps are awesome because they challenge you to think unlogiclly. Hopefully I'll get farther and this'll be the 1st cave of yours that I beat besides Chaos Caverns.

What about Zero G?

And I dunno. That arrow room is pretty brutal. And once you get past that you have to solve a sort of puzzle.

Got to the floor with the first treasure on it but got scared away by the dynamites and arrows and falling crates and such. I played it. Happy?

Haha, I suck. It took me a while to figure out that first part (I didn't know jumping and hitting an arrow on a platform would repel me back down, so I was trying everything else), and now I'm stuck again shortly thereafter. But I'll get it eventually!

I didn't know that there were that many different things you could do down there...

On the second Level? that one's a little hard, but not really. I wouldn't consider it much of a puzzle to get stuck on, though. I mean, the first boulder is pretty straightforward. Although I can see a few people messing up on the second boulder...

Got to the fifth floor, but that one is really hard. The fourth one was very nice.

Yeah... Those arrows aren't very nice. But the only wave of arrows that should really give you trouble is the third wave. Other than that, the rest is pretty reasonable.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if you complained about the first wave, with the duckjumping and all...

Yeah, you need to jump a little early for that one, that way you can move forward to avoid the second arrow on the second tile up, otherwise, you'll end up to close to the wall, and you'll die from the shockwave.
