CaveGen now has an editor for the HATPCR event system - i.e. checkpoints and messages. It's in the Events tab under Editor.
It's not the all-singing, all-dancing visual editor I dreamed of - it's just a textbox for adding the event code. This is better than before, when it was impossible to add events to CaveGen levels.

This is really cool! This will make cavemaking a lot easier.
I would suggest having the editor show the coordinates of a tile when mousing over it, I think CaveMaker does this. It's pretty frustrating to have to count boxes one by one in order to find coordinates for events. | | jebby |

Yeah Cavemaker is row, column, and 0-based. Some people complained but I insisted lol.
I still plan on adding tutorial message support. No plans to support HATPCR. | | jebby |

Background types, terrain types and the basic water types (not the new fancy ones) can now be selected from Properties. | | DroidFreak36 |

You should probably make it show coordinates column row and one-based to make events easy. The internal coordinates are actually zero-based row column, but I went with a 1-based (x, y) for events to make things more intuitive.
P.S. - This is awesome

Done. There is now a 1-based (x, y) coordinate display in the bottom-right of the editor. | | |
