Remembering the First Interguild Minecraft Server - More Info
Made by: Livio on Aug 02, 2011
Length: 06:32 -- Views: 5292 -- Game: Minecraft

When Brohoster brought all the servers back up for 72 hours, I decided to make a video of the server's final moments. It took me almost all of that time to make this video, almost like a real-life example of what it feels like to play Majora's Mask. I tried to get a snapshot of what our server was like overall: the good, the bad, and everything in between.

The beginning of this video is largely a parody of my last video and how I used a remix of a song from Mega Man 3 while my minecraft character's skin was also set to look like Mega Man. So in this vid I used another remix of the same song while playing off of the idea of some of the stupid things I was making "Mega Man" do in order to film some of these shots. I also kinda like how the similar music creates almost a kind of theme song for the Interguild's first minecraft server.

PS: I forgot to mention in the credits, but the first guy you see shooting at me in Cave City is krotomo. And the later clip of two guys fighting is krotomo versus Griffongeul. Griff won that fight.

Wow there's significant quality loss after uploading to Youtube, even when viewing at the highest quality setting. And is it me, or did they slightly squish the video horizontally?

I said in the chatbox how there were lots of recordings that ended up not getting put into the final video. Some of these recordings include krotomo's castle, Great Lakes Monument, that big train station by San Notch, some stuff at lightown, and much more. I tried to film some of the stuff at Testing, but none of the sponge stuff worked anymore. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was in Isa's Cave. I remember how if you went down far enough, you'd find this awesome lava room. I ran into it multiple times as I explored other caves on Spawn's continent. But when I went there to film it, all the lava was gone and had been turned into obsidian.

4:06 = The greatness of cave zombies

This was an awesome video, I love how you filmed so many things and made each one look great. Too bad you didn't put in my castle.
This was a great final video of the server.

Although I DO have one video I haven't finished yet...
I'm pretty sure Jazz knows what it is

This was amazing. Made me feel proud of what we had done. Also made me think if in a few months we can make that, what will our next server be like after a year?

What was that building at 2:05 and the one at 3:04?  The cave at 5:11 was awesome!

It's a shame that all that we had was lost, but it's not like it can't be rebuilt.  This video was pretty cool, and was a great way to look at everything.

I'm not sure but I think the 2:05 building was made by kro. It was located next to the NERail.

The one at 3:04 was one of the rail terminals in Yug City.

The 5:11 cave I'm not sure sure. It may have been the Mushroom Cave that we found under the road from the NER to Lightown, or it may be the cave near the Interguild Blimp's rail terminal.

Because we can all go to the world, as we have it back up on the server.  We have the worlds from the first two servers, as well as an entirely new map that we made for this new server.
