Thrown dynamite moves a bit faster than it did in HATPC, but that's hard to avoid with the faster tick rate. It already has half the gravity that Hannah and falling blocks do, and its trajectory is pretty much the same as in HATPC.

Can the dynamite break falling crates? One of the steel ones on the top right block of steel and dynamite crates (row 1 column 2) broke when it shouldn't have. If so this will make it much harder to create traps.

At the moment it can, yes. How exactly does dynamite destroying falling crates make traps harder to create? Is it common to have objects falling past explosions?

If explosions couldn't destroy falling objects at all, then the metal crate above the first metal dynamite crate wouldn't have been destroyed, since it starts falling instantly upon the dynamite crate being destroyed, so if we wanted to disable explosions destroying falling crates, I'd have to make a special case to prevent crates above destroyed dynamite crates from falling.

It's pretty common to have objects falling past explosions. The most obvious one being dynamite exploding above and knocking down an object that blocks the player's path or kills them. This change would cause those types of traps and others to take up more space, and rule out any other trap designs that would involve crates passing through explosions.

It's not a huge issue and I see why it would be hard to fix, so if you don't think it's worth fixing then that's probably fine.

I fixed that issue now. Destructible crates above exploding dynamite crates won't fall, and currently falling crates won't be destroyed by explosions.

New dynamite animations are looking good. I think the old explosions were a bit bigger, though, and a bit more kinda firey-orange. Dunno if an exact replica is possible, though. It would be nice, but I'm just being nitpicky really, keep up the good work as always.

Perhaps you're right - I think I just haven't gotten used to the new animations yet. Looking forward to being cable to play around with dynamite myself in the next update, regardless.

Maybe the old explosions were a bit bigger, but it's hard to tell. In any case, the size of these explosions is pretty much exactly the size of their area of effect, so I think the size is pretty good.

As for the colors: In the original game they were just yellow, orange, and black, while in these explosions the fire is yellow and orange while the smoke is both black and white. The white bits in the smoke make it a bit different. The fire also fades to smoke a bit faster, which is probably what makes it seem less fiery. Every time I tried it with a longer fire duration, it didn't seem right, since the explosion lingered long after its effects were gone.

The smoke is also different in behavior since it doesn't last as long or rise nearly as much. That's actually due to a limitation of the explosion generating tool I used, - I can't increase the canvas size large enough to capture smoke that rises that far. So instead the smoke stays in pretty much the same place (with a bit of upward gravity) and fades out quickly.
