One year ago today, interguild.org opened its doors! At that time, all this site had was the members system, the forums, the video archive, and the news system. However, the level database (which was at the time called: level galleries) and the competitions system were hastily created within three weeks after the release. Throughout this past year, this site has changed a lot, and even now I'm working on reforming the layout along with the entire way the site is presented to new members. It should be interesting.

Anyway, this week was very interesting. Some members have returned with frequent online time, such as teo_pl and soccerboy13542. Soccerboy (who was kirby13542 on the old site) has been posting a lot of Free Rider 2 levels.

Last week, Isa posted an idea to add a level database search to the layout, and that somehow gave me a huge idea to reform the Interguild. On Monday, I began designing a new layout for the site, and I'm also drastically changing the way the site is presented. I posted a topic called Reforming the Interguild where I try to explain these new ideas.

On Wednesday, a_neezles_a publicly declared in this topic that she will stay online long enough to beat my record of being online for 12 hours straight. Shos also challenged her, but he lasted only for 13 hours. Meanwhile, no one seemed to notice the passing of the 12-hour mark, but the real epic moment was the next day during passing the 24-hour mark. There were like 10 people online and we all wanted to see how the Online Box would react to a day worth of online time. But when the 24-hour mark was reached, neezle's online time was displayed to be "<1 min"! lol

Anyway, neezles stayed online for about another day until she was apparently banned for having atrocious grammar. So the current Online Time record is 50.5 hours.

And there were some people who took this whole neezles thing too seriously. If you haven't figured out through the ridiculousness of the whole situation, this whole thing was set up. Neezles actually gave Quirvy permission to commandeer her account, and I added a bunch of stuff that will keep her forcibly logged in. The joke was a reference to how neezles (who used to be a very young member) would declare to break my record but would then be accidentally timed out.

So to honor neezle's epic moment, our latest comp was dedicated to her. Some of you may be sick of the whole thing, but the theme is actually pretty interesting: take one of her caves and make a real level out of it.

Next week will be my last week of school before the semester ends, which means that I also have final exams. So I will not be here too often throughout the week. I also have to finish all of my college applications, which are generally due on January first, and there are some ridiculously weird essays that I have to write for them. 0_o But in terms of the new layout that I'm working on, I'm not sure when I'll finish it, but it'll be really cool if I could get it out before the new year. The staff has also been planning some interesting ideas for competitions for next year.

You know, I was thinking of getting an internship at Microsoft, but I'm not sure I want their lameness to rub off on me.
