Update: I fixed it! You may find a few topics from the past few days that are marked as "unread" again, but now everyone's logs are back to what they used to be on Monday.  What happened was that I was deleting a bunch of spam accounts when I made a typo and accidentally deleted my account and some related info from other database tables. So I tried to restore a backup from a few hours ago, but something went wrong and the backup was never formed, so I had to use a backup from two nights ago instead. No posts, topics, levels, or anything similar were lost. Although, some post and karma counts may be slightly off. However, the_grimace's account was lost.  But I already made it so that he will be contacted when he tries to log in again.So yeah, nothing major here. Move along... | |

uh, great, NOW i see this...so ignore my postss on the bug reports... seriously, this sucks. i'd say 'you fail' but that would just be mean, so i'll just think it silently...  | |

FIXED! Everyone's logs are back to normal now, so it's like none of this ever happened!  It's been reset to what it was on Monday now, so all the topics and posts from the past two/three days will be marked as unread again, but at least everything else isn't. Like I said, I couldn't restore it before because it was so big and the server would time out all the SQL queries. I tried breaking it into smaller queries, but each was still very huge and it still didn't work. So today I spent a few hours working on it; I spent a good while trying to figure out how to use regular expression to break then up into small ones. so yeah, nothing's wrong anymore.  | |

At first I thought there was something wrong with the karma system, so I kept looking for possible holes in the system. After finding none, I guess it's plausible that the possible reasons I just gave are responsible for some of these karma changes. | |
