Regarding your image, you should probably take a look at the legs of Shade...the front one is pretty big compared to the other. You should also use something to help you smooth your arch-circles. You seem to have used something roughly the size of a coin to draw four of the heads of the characters, but the...thing that Shade is holding in her hand looks pretty poor with the jagged edges. Other than that, pretty neat.

Yes, the main thing that bugged me was how crude the fan-thing looked, maybe use a protractor/compass next time?
