Exams all this week

lol at the beginning of Sony's E3, it's like they got hacked again. I wonder if that was intentional on somebody's part. Maybe some E3 workers thought it would be funny.

Also, if 1 Euro = 1.4585 U.S. dollars then the PSVita is 1.5 times more expensive if you buy it in Europe than if you were to buy it in the US. That's kind of weird...

Although I'm actually quite impressed by the Vita. I'm not a handheld gamer and I don't see myself purchasing a mobile platform anytime soon. But overall, that looks like an amazing gadget, and that rear touch stuff looks like an awesome idea. Unfortunately, both the Vita and the 3DS are more expensive than a Wii right now, so that's not a very attractive price. It's just that if you're willing to spend that much on a handheld, you may as well buy a console.

back to school today

That's Europe. Everything is 1.5 times as expensive and gets released over a month later than in the US. "At least we're not Australia."
It is nice that GOG.com charges everything in dollars. Makes everything 1.5 times as cheap as I'm used to.

now that we've seen the Wii U, I still don't get why it was codenamed Project Cafe. Maybe the idea really was born in a cafe. Or maybe it's some kind of Japanese pun.

I hope it's not the real name, if you're making a new console, don't leech the name after the last one. (SNES, 360, PS2/3) and now the Wii U, which I think sounds especially stupid.

At least it wasn't 'Wii Luv U'.

I think they called it Wii U on the count that it really just is an extension of the regular Wii. Kinda like how DS Lite, DSi, and 3DS are all extensions of the original DS.
