I'm pretty sure that I was mentioned more than once in the staff forum back then.  And on occasion now, too.  I literally tense up when reading my old posts, and wonder if that was really me.

To prevent any future conflict: The staff isn't looking for any new additions right now.

Because that seems to be the attitude of various members. Disagreeing is a grave offence and must be punished.

Just look at my Karma ratings page. I have probably gotten the most negative karma of any serious user, often for simply having an opinion that differs from the majority.

the for some reason means that I can't see why anyone would -rate a post like the first, which is contributing, non-offensive, and in fact produced good discussion; but it also means that I can't see why someone would +rate a post like the second. all the posts I've seen so far are in total 0 karma, lol. you should be the next Dud of the year lol

then you also have stuff (nullified too, all hehe) like that

which should explain by itself that the phrasing could be offensive.

Every time you have an outrageous or insulting opinion to say, put "no offense" before it. IT WORKS! Sort of.

No offense, but if I was in a room with you, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Bashar al-Assad and I had a gun with only two bullets, I'd shoot you twice. Also no offense but you are a complete failure and should just drown yourself in a lake.

(my point is that saying No offense doesn't work, so don't use that instead of formulating yourself in a nicer way)

No offense, but it was more of a joke as to how I almost always use to put "no offense" in my posts if any of the content was in any way remotely stupid (I've gotten better), and the "sort of" was meant to imply that it wasn't surefire. I laughed at that insult, though.
