Lol. I have £220, however I am expecting to spend lots. I've not been spending too much so far, but that will end soon, lol.

When I saw these sales, I decided not to fall for any of the hype and not buy anything. Then I bought Legend of Grimrock for 60% off

hey wait, what's you're Steam name, Flash? I need more friends, lol.

Actually for about half of my friends on Steam, their names and avatars are so unrecognizeable that I have long since forgotten who's account belongs to who IRL.

Oh wait, I forgot that your steam name is different from your username. Usernames are pretty useless, aside from logging in.

Just bought Bunch of Heroes for £1.35. I'll go through whats on sale today.

Tropico 4 (75% off, £6.24) - Never even heard of. When I was looking through Facepunch, people seemed to think it was good though.
Indie Bundle III (£6.99) - Eh... It's alright. None of the Indie Bundles have been particularly good so far, but you might want to pick up some of the individual games for 50% off.
Borderlands (75% off, £4.99) - Excellent game, though you could probably pick it up even cheaper just second hand.
Dirt Showdown (50% off, £14.99) - The game sucks and so does the deal.
Frozen Synapse (75% off, £3.79) - Get this while you can. Very good deal, and awesome game.
Two Worlds II (75% off, £4.99) - It's an alright Fantasy RPG. Get it if you want.
Dead Island (66% off, £6.79) - Bad game. But if you really want it for some reason, I guess this is your chance.
Orcs must die! (75% off, £2,99) - Good single player dungeon defender. If you want multiplayer, don't buy.
Skyrim (50% off, £17.37) - Most overhyped game ever. Not really very good. The exploration is OK, but not as good as most decent sandbox games (see: Just Cause 2, Red Dead: Redemption).

Also, check out the Flash Sales. You can get some really awesome deals which last a short time. Finally, also check the Community Choice. You get given a list of games to go on sale, and the one with the most goes on sale for 12hrs.

I was interested by the Valve and Bethesda packs, but for both I already have most games. In the Bethesda pack only Skyrim interests me, but I'd rather wait for the Complete edition. In Valve, L4D, L4D2 and Counter-Strike interest me, but again not so much that I must have them.
Especially since a few days ago I spend almost 100 euros on used console games (FF Origins, FF Anthology, Pokemon White, Project Rub, Terranigma, No More Heroes 2, Medabots: Rokusho version and White Knight Chronicles: Origins). So I've decided not to make too many game purchases anymore.

My tf2 doesn't work, it says hl2.exe has stopped working or something like that. Does anyone one know how to fix this? I love tf2 so it would be nice if it worked.

STOP PUTTING SKYRIM ON SALE, PEOPLE VOTING IN COMMUNITY CHOICE. Seriously, it's not a great game. The dragons who are meant to be a huge part of the game become pesky huge creatures with tonnes of HP and attacks that make your screen shake, and they always seem to attack you at the worst times. Of the three dragons I killed outside the main story, two glitched and din't give me their dragon soul. The world is huge, but most of it is empty. The side quests feel like boring tasks. The magic is restricted to three elements. The UI sucks. The story is garbage and can be completed within 5 hours.

Today we have Indie Bundle V, which is one of the better Indie Bundles. The best game from it is Audiosurf, but almost everyone (including me) already own that game. Iron Front will not be good for those who don't like super-realistic games. If you have never played the genre, I'd recommend playing Red Orchestra instead since it is cheaper. Knights of the Old Republic is apparently really good. Just bear in mind that the game is old and will have some issues on newer computers. Dear Esther is a bunch of pretentious w***. It isn't actually a game, it's just you walking around an island for an hour while some guy tells you a boring story. I'd call it a hipster game. Rage is a distinctly average game. Still has issues with ATI cards as well. Age of Empires III is a good game, but not as good as the other two. Metro 2033 is a must buy if your computer won't explode like mine if you get it. Assassins Creed: Revelations has a worse story than Brotherhood, but a much better multiplayer than it. Men of War: Vietnam is another super difficult game.

Overall, best deals are Metro 2033 and Knights of the Old Republic.

Hmm. I agree that skyrim was distinctly disappointing, but I didn't think it was that terrible. Maybe there's a difference between the PC and console. I played it on 360, and I didn't come across any of the weird glitches people talk about. The "but then I took an arrow to the knee" thing gets super annoying after the five thousandth time, and the story was really lame. But the guild quests were interesting, as well as the deadra quests. Side quests are auto-generated, so what did you expect?
But I really, really didn't like the complete nerf of the magic system. No spell making? At all? And the spells you get, while pretty, aren't that great or exciting. NO SPELLMAKING?????
Enchanting was meh. You were better off raiding a bunch of random caves than learning to enchant. Smithing was a requirement on anything except the easiest difficulties (unless you play a mage or ranger. Then running away and abusing the AI is the requirement).
I thought that the world was very well done. I'm not sure what you're talking about, most of being empty. There's stuff everywhere!
I disliked combat. A lot. I hated how unresponsive swinging a weapon is. If you want any control, you have to use daggers or a bow. And swinging locks in your movement, so you can't be intelligent and dart forward with a swing and step back from it. Morrowind had much better combat, and the constant missing was way less annoying than not being able to move the way you want.
For all that, Skyrim isn't a great game (mechanics wise), but I've seen worse. And the graphics are very good. I always here people crapping on graphics heavy games, but I think that's bs. They're VIDEO games; how they look is important. And if it wasn't, then people wouldn't buy them by the millions.

Actually, I didn't think it was a pretty game by any stretch, but I din't really care, especially given how large the world is. I mean, certain things were not truly 3D and were just 2D sprites (I think it was some of the shrubs?) As far as the world being empty, I managed to wander for 2hrs without bumping into anything whatsoever. By the way, this was all also on the 360.

PS3 on Skyrim is crusty. There was originally a glitch where the bigger your save file became, the slower the game would run, eventually making the game unplayable. Before I downloaded the patch, scenery textures were failing to load (everything that failed would just be a shade of pale blue, lol) and I lagged really badly every time I fast traveled or was in a combat heavy area (multi attackers). The patch only partially fixed the problem. Now just the bigger your file, the longer the loading screens will take, and I'm dead serious that some areas would take 5 minutes loading and act like nothing happened when they completed; I just stopped fast travelling all together towards the end because of this. And there's still some lag in heavy combat situations still.

I also originally had to restart the game because I glitched up my Thieves Guild questline by breaking into the meadery before I started the quest. For the Guild quests in general, they were nice (helluva lot better than the main quest), but they tended to follow the same formula. The Daedra quests were original and awesome. I just wish there were more than 1 per Daedra.

The lack of higher level content was disappointing. Besides the master magic rituals, there isn't much motivation for maxing out all your skills. The scenery/graphics were awesome, the land was just amazing to look at. I regret not fast traveling earlier, because half the fun just comes from the journeys n' stuff. I was disappointed in the lack of "you have to be way off the grid and out of your mind to discover this location" locations. The only ones that really satisified that need in me was the southernmost cave in the mountains with the cult, and the Dwemer ruins waaaaay to the east with the big drop. Everything felt too easy to find; especially since you could jump your way up mountainsides, lol.

I don't have many complaints combat wise besides they should have implemented more ragdolling (what happens when something get's Fus Roh Da'd). It's hilarious, whether it happens to you or a monster.

COMING SOON: A giant meteor. Please.
Give me +karma. Give me +karma.

Anyone else got Binding of Isaac yet? I just gifted it to a friend <3

It's a really good game for a really cheap price (I thought it was much better than skyrim, and you can buy BoI 10 times for every skyrim). Just remember the game is hard. VERY hard. It's permadeath and the actual game is hard too.
