So, being brilliant, an idea came to me, and I recommend you all make Livio do it.

You know how when you're playing an especially long or difficult level in Hannah and the Pirate Caves, you have to keep making checkpoints? And know how that's annoying? Also, you know how we're able to click that "Upload to HATPC" button to upload a level immediately?

Why not take advantage of that fantastic button? When someone submits a level, they should be able to submit checkpoints (if they so desire) to make playing the level more enjoyable. These can simply be in the form of tiny, inconspicuous, numbered buttons on the game page, each of which uploads the checkpoint to HatPC. Optionally, for non-linear levels, descriptions can be attached to the checkpoint so that a player knows what the checkpoint does.

In taking advantage of this, cavemakers could mark the location of each checkpoint with a down-facing arrow, for example, so as you're playing a long, difficult level, you'll know when you're able to load a new checkpoint. Of course, this wouldn't be required.

I understand this wouldn't be ideal for all levels, and that's why it should be optional... but the fact is, for some levels, this is absolutely essential. It'd be easy to program in, too! What do you guys think?

I support this notion. I think it has been presented before and it has been done multiple times by most people who have filmed a walkthrough.

Just make it look neat and I am fine.

what I undertand here is something like this, tell me if I'm correct:

suppose I mak a hatpc level; then if at anyt point in the level a checkpoint can/is expected to be made, I can create a code for that checkpoint, and so when people get there, they can immidiately see the down arrow, and reupload the cdave starting from there?

if so, I totes support. how to make it look:
we have cave code and preview; near the preview button, we can have checkpoint 1 button, 2, and 3 etc.. and each will replace the code in the textbox. then the upload to hatpc button can be used, and also, a preview of the checkpoint can be seen. get it?

Yep! But I think it'd be even faster to, instead of loading the text box with the code, just upload it directly. But yes, exactly!
