I added a rating system for the level galleries. Go check it out.
I wish I could make this post longer, but there's not much to say....
'Quirvy' said: There's this to say:
DO NOT OVERRATE.
This system was not made for you to give 10/10's to mediocre caves. I've seen you guys do this a lot with video's.
Don't ruin the system.
You can also enter decimals too, so you're not limited to whole numbers or halves, like when you are rating videos.
Also, no flaming of caves. If you give a cave a 0.5/10, you'd better have a good reason for it.
Assuming that we don't have someone screwing up the system, this should be a pretty cool feature. Now that was something good to say.
Update:
I completely got rid of the praise system now. But it's not like you ever knew it existed or something User Comments (14) | Quirvy |

Ya, sounds cool, but each average could easily be thrown out of whack if the owner gives all their caves 10/10.
COMING SOON: A giant meteor. Please.

I added your quote to the top. I guess that warning escaped me...
i need to add something that'll let you delete ratings without deleting the post... | | Quirvy |

Can't you just leave your rating blank?

Apparently you can, but the rating still exists...

now with the rating system, I can already feel the praise system falling deeper into obscurity. maybe we should just get rid of it before people completely forget about its existence. | | Ckjr |

Theres the praise system, and the rating system. Which is better or effective? | | Quirvy |

Probably the rating system. But only if there's no one screws it up by rating everything to high, or rating everything too low.
Also, because I may have left out a few other points in my post earlier:
1. If you cannot get far enough in a cave to really get an opinion, do not make a random rating based on how the map looks. That's never a good idea. It would be like not being able to get past the first ten minutes in "Meet the Spartans" and then rating it a 10/10 on IMDB because you thought their trailer was funny. Just don't do it.
2. If you're going to rate your own cave, make sure it's reasonable. Over-rating your caves just makes you look bad, when people play the cave to find out that it's not nearly as good as that 9.7/10 rating you gave it. You might want to wait for feedback, at least, before you decide what you should rate your own cave.

actually, I take that into my account if I can't beat a level. Like I would certainly rate Imperio and Bribe and Massacre lower for the fact that they are pure evil.
btw, did anyone ever watch those evil Mario hack levels? I'd rather watch a video of someone trying to beat those levels than a seemingly one-try walkthrough.
and I will get rid of the praise system soon. | | Livio |

ok now that the rating system is fully functional, I say we go back to all of our favorite old caves and give them our rates. it'll be fun, nostalgic, and we've got to talk about caves more often.
I've given a handful of caves rates just now, and I've also done all of my caves since I know them the most. (all of my caves that I want to have rates, that is). Oh, and I also added a new "order by" feature when you browse you levels. use that too. | | Quirvy |

People flaming caves has seemed to have become a problem recently, so before we start suspending people for an hour or something, let's actually make some official guidelines that you have to follow.
From this point on, if you give a cave a rating below 6, you must sufficiently back up your rating.
For example, if you for some reason were to not like CSD's "INeverActuallyLeft", here's what your post shouldn't look like
Quote: 0/10
empty and boring. this shouldn't even be in the gallery, it sucks so badly
A more appropriate response would be something like this:
Quote: 1/10
This cave is blocky, and lacks traps. The boulders pose the only real threat, and they are easily avoided. The experience is too short, and collecting the gem is too easy.
This cave is too easy and too short to be any fun. It shouldn't take 5 seconds to beat an entire cave
So from now on, if you rate a cave below a 6, you need to provide reasoning.

sometimes no one wants to explain the obvious, so I see this rule being broken for a lot of bad levels.... | | |
