I remembered this idea when reading Krotomo's. They would be like secret areas (you are the only thing that goes through) except the only thing that wouldn't go through would be you. arrows could fire through them and you could make dodge the falling crates. There are some things that may need sorting out like that dynamite should probably blow them up or otherwise they will be industructable and also if there is a terrain directly underneath one and a metal crate falls down it will probably have to be destroyed like a spike or tutorial arrow.

Right now we have fragile crates, which are pretty interesting to work with because:

1) you can break them without recoil similar to HATPC water crates.
2) if something non-fragile falls on them, then the fragile tile will break as the object passes through the space un-affected.
3) if an arrow goes through it, the fragile tile will be destroyed but the arrow will continue moving past the fragile tile.

so does this fit with your idea?

Yes, but you can still go through them.

well I don't like the idea of making a tile for something so specific like an "arrow secret area", I'd rather have something more universal, so the first thing that I think of is some sort of "barrier tile" that stops you from passing it, but everything else can go through including crates, boulders, etc., but would have to be destroyed only by explosion.

isn't that like kro's idea of invisible terrain, just with visible, and crates?

the main point of this tile is to stand on it for better control of the player while arrows are firing at them.

I dunno. ☺ still rejects this idea. It seems unnecessary. Then again, so does invisible terrain.

isn't that good enough for you isa? =\

also, there's this quote of dando that i am too lazy to look for, that says that it's a part of cavemaking to design it so that we don't need these boxes. it'll make life too easy..
