I was wondering about whether there could be modes where different rules apply to how to play the game.
Something I thought could be cool was a mode where changes to the level are cumulative. The levels could be more complicated, but once you had done one part you could continue on another.
Another option I thought would be cool might be a level where you have to kill yourself. The level would have to be designed very carefully, but it could be quite clever.
What do you think and do you have any other ideas?

Interesting. An option to change the rules of how to beat the level? Sounds cool, but how would we set it up? And as for making areas that must have certain objectives completed, I think it would be similar to the overall level-objective idea except that it'd trigger some sort of barrier tile which would allow the player to pass.
As for the objectives themselves, I guess we could set up something that lets you set up a minimum requirement, like: "destroy 20 steel crates" or another option to move a certain object to a certain coordinate, such as: "push the boulder into the pit" or something.
But I'm starting to think that such a thing wouldn't be worth it because many of the cool things in a level is to figure out how to create your own objectives within the game's rules... I don't see anything new that we can do that we can't already do, besides for the fact that it would save room in the level.
so I say this idea would be unlikely... | | Florida |

Nope.
Please keep the point of the game and how it operates the same. | | Ckjr |

like some kind of mission? If you complete the objectives of a mission, you would get, maybe 1 extra life? Or a gem? Or open the door? I say, APPROVE. | | jebby |

Objectives for campaign? APPROVE
Objectives for user levels? NEUTRAL
Don't really see these being used much or easy to implement. | | jellsprout |

REJECT. I really don't see a point in this. We already agreed to use achievements, so there could be achievements such as "Break x amound of steel crates in a single level". But I don't see the point in this.

When I think about Warcraft, I think about the multiplayer part. No objectives there.

I'd have to REJECT this idea too. Wouldn't be worth all the effort and it wouldn't be easy to make. Plus some stuff I already said | | FlashMarsh |
