Anyway, I'm pretty excited for this; I'm glad with the team I was placed in. Now, I don't have much knowledge of the latest Hannah and the Pirate Cave meta-game, but I have other games such as Red Remover, Amberial Axis, and Super Mario Flash figured out pretty well. I'm pretty sure I can pull out some kickass levels for those games, if they even show in competitions.

It should be fun however it turns out. I'm only confused on how we should be utilizing this little confidential board of ours.

With imtimi at the helm, I'd always figured we'd be Karmabotians? If there's team leaders, he gets my vote. He and GH4 are our most active members at this point, and, no offense to GF4, but your karma is only 10, and thus you are unworthy of leading the Karmabotians to victory. Anybody over 20 karma should be acceptable, however... Or should the word for "of Karmabot" be "Karmabites"? I like the ring of "The Karmabites" better than "The Karmabotians". I'm mean, I can only hope that team 3 will be "The Livioists". Finally, the showdown we've all been waiting for!

I think we're supposed to use this board to, I guess, help each other with our submissions? We'd post our levels in this board, and then the others would give feedback and the like. I'd also expect that there would be a couple team-oriented categories, where some of us will have to work together on a submission. The categories are finalized yet (understatement), but if the amount of emphasis on the team concept (henceforth: teamphasis) is lacking, I'll be sure to make a note of it in the Staff Forum before the categories get released.

So I have two categories I could post in code in this board, should I do that? Or wait 'til the IO actually starts. Livio mentions this topic was just for discussing the name.

This topic is about general team two discussion. For something about your levels, you'd post them in another thread, I'd guess. Wait until the IO starts, though. We're just deciding team names right now. And if somebody joins late, teams might get shifted around, before it starts.

Alright, the IO has started!

I figure we could have a discussion about the video walkthroughs. I have planned on doing one for my old level In Too Deep, which I will submit. I doubt that will win though (despite me being one of the judges ), so I wonder: Do anyone of you guys have any level you really want to make a walkthrough for? If not, I think that if you want to win, you'd have to provide a good walkthrough to a level that could be seen as classic (The Descent, anything by CSD or Dando, Fergalicious cave [up on 008stevenqi]...). Thoughts on that?

I've been meaning to do a walkthrough for the original NWYE, but first I'd have to unglitch the thing. A have half a dozen or so walkthroughs so easy caves (with another one the way, once I film the shaft) that I was planning to tack onto the end of other walkthroughs, time-permitting, but my last two walkthroughs were over 11 minutes long, before editing. I could release them all together, if I run out of time, but that would be slightly lame.

You're making an AA level, Isa? Imtimi is making an HATPC level, lol. He seems to have an unfair advantage in this category... If I were to enter, I might try out SMF or FR2, but... I doubt I could make anything decent in them. I still have a SMW level kicking around that I never submitted, but I wouldn't want to force the judges to illegally download any roms. What do you think, judges, would you be willing to download the SMW ROM? Also, I made and release a video for this level a really long time ago, so I'd probably get disqualified.

I wouldn't download that ROM, I did so earlier on and I was unable to play it. Sooo...no ROM's, please.

Also, that AA level is a lost cause. I have no idea how to save the level (pressing Validate and Save only starts the level, and nothing happened when I beat it), so I currently have no level to submit, and won't have time to make one unless I do so later on today.

Maybe I should just give up and make Aeon pinball.

The swimming competition I can enter with the cave I've been working on since...forever. Play it on imtimi, and tell me what you guys think. Obviously, I still need a beginning and an end, but I have another two weeks to get that done with.

I have no idea what level you should use for a video walkthrough, but whatever you go with, realize that we need to go beyond the standard video + awesome music. Include getting the gem at the end of the walkthrough, maybe even the heart if it's available, use some editing to give the video some neat effects, etcetera. I would make a walkthrough of my own, too, but there's only so much I can do with Windows Movie Maker.

I think flashy effects only act distracting. If anything should be added to the raw video except for music, it's information on how to beat a trap. Pretty much like this: http://www.interguild.org/videos/viewvid.php?vid=135  

Timi, you haven't made much progress in that cave since I last played it :L

Anyways.. SP4 would be an epic walkthrough *whistles* I can't make it because my computer is too low quality to run HATPC and hypercam at the same time. If anyone actually wants to attempt it, I can tell you how to beat all of it.

Things are looking bleak for your KarmaBites. But fear not! For the all amazing Overlord is here to salvage your IO hopes! I know it for a fact that all of Team GREATS simply trembles at the thought of my existence not being in cooperation with them. And the Ninja Koopas? Livio's on they're team, how can they possibly go right? Our toughest challenge ahead is the Judgernauts, and they don't even qualify for the medal count. This should be a cakewalk.  

Don't forget CSD. How much has he done?
