My idea is that there is an animation at the beginning of the game, explaining what happens in the plot..

My idea is that you see a rocket exploding off from Earth. It zooms into inside the rocket, where you see all the animals hurrying about, doing their respective jobs, with Floyd bossing them about, Hugsy sucking on his dummy, Felix controlling the steering wheel etc. etc. Suddenly, Floyd spots an asteroid. Felix does too, and attempts to avoid the asteroid. They none the less hit it. You then see the rocket spinning around madly, and everbody begins to panic. Floyd orders everyone to get to the escape pods. Everyone hears him except Hugsy. Hugsy hurries to them late but finds all of them taken! Hugsy curls up in the corner as the rocket crashes towards whatever world Aeon is on.

It could either be fully animated or just a slide-show of a series of pictures.

Along with music, I hope. It could be this and I would be happy.

anyway, that's all assuming we can even make an animation. I feel like the best we could come up with was some stick-figure thing.

Or we could just dump the player into the first level, and have them across the captain's log and they read up one what happened.
