you can still make an entry. I entered steel insanity into the Steal an Idea competition last year, and would have stolen some vital points, except that I crediting my points to the KarmaBites, and they won by 0.5, so it actually was vital points.

I dunno if you'll be allowed to do what I did last year, but there's nothing stopping you from entering into the competitions.

But Shos was added late, yet with a stunning lack of lack of alphabetization .

So the IO is over and has been judged, and we have our winners but are waiting on Livio and also I guess how we're going to add the pentathlon into the mix, so in the mean time, anyone want to give unbiased predictions for how the team rankings and scores worked out?

I guess order the teams by how you think they placed, and if you really wanna go all the way, do a general guess the score outcomes, there were 65 points given out from the rounds. (but you probably don't want to overthink it and try to figure out who won each round and earned this many points, cuz that would just be a waste of your time)

Then when Livio finally comes around and we get the results released, we can all look back and see how you did!

Anyone with access to the judge forum and BMWSU(who had access) can't guess, though.

what's up with us being last? don't you think our entries are good at all?

I can't quite say who would win, cuz well, I don't remember the teams. I know quirvy and livio are in TGL, and I remember that yaya and guyguy are with me, cuz yaya helped with the collab and guyguy didn't with the minecraft XD

Yeah, I imagine us (Guyguy) not entering the Minecraft comp would prevent us from getting 1st (which would be a slim chance originally). Combined with Harumbai only being to enter one level (HATPC's fault), and DBX doing only one thing (for.... unknown reasons), and Guyguy did one thing, that left mostly me and Shos to pump out levels. I think these minor efforts from almost all team members (no offense though, I'm including myself) and our assorted absences throughout July, our chances of getting 2nd have whittled down. On the opposite spectrum of minor efforts, thank the universe that we had Cedric_09_ on our team, when we were in the dumps, he really stepped up the contributions. MVP by a mile.

Both nebneb and bryan were on our teams but didn't do anything. I was more annoyed with Bryan than nebneb because he was actually around, whereas nebneb was gone the whole time (correction: he actually made an entry into the super comp. I'm kinda surprised cuz I only remember seeing him once during the IO.). I even tried to get him to contribute to our collab but he basically just ignored all of my chatbox posts, then eventually posted in the topic:


And I told him that it was on dovalion, but then we never heard from him again so I had to get Livio to finish it.

On the bright side, however, me, soccerboy and Livio all worked hard on our entries which helped negate the complete lack of contribution from Bryan and of course the complete absence coming from nebneb

Although to be fair nebneb wasn't totally absent because he made this post in the Great Lakes main topic in the middle of the discussion me and Livio had for the Great Lakes Monument:



I think my favorite moment in the IO was when we were picking our team name. I was arguing that we go with "The Lake Michigan Men" practically the entire time (because of the average location of our team members being in Lake Michigan), and it looked like I won and that was going to be our team name, but then with 20 minutes to go I was like "wait I've got a much better idea, what if we were the great lakes and each one of us was a different lake?"

And that's how we became known as the Great Lakes...
(My second favorite moment was when I got fed up with no one doing anything in the collab, and I wrote a list of "Ten Reasons why my IO team stinks" and sent it to Isa. That list can be seen here)


Which reminds me, since we're all done with making levels and stuff, should we just release the team forums to the public? I know that not even the judges have seen the team forums yet, which is different from last year when I believe the judges were watching over everything.

My favorite part was sending a motivational PM to Guyguy, trying to motivate him to start a Minecraft entry; it didn't work. I posted it on one of my team's boards, and I imagine the boards will be released relatively soon, so I won't post it.

PS: Quirvy, I'm pretty sure Neb entered the "super" comp.

This is how the Minecraft topic I started looks. yaya, harumbai, me and guyguy posted there to find out nobody has MC but guyguy; so we started(yaya and me of course, no comment from guyguy) thinking about what would be easy to make, or something...and the next thing you see was
on August 15th, lol...

With a header like that, I wouldn't really be motivated to work either...

that post was there two weeks before the comp ended, I think. it's not like we've pressed anything, that post came in to ask who has minecraft..
