Dear Gents' and M'ladies;

I hereby offer a prize of --eternal-- respect to whoever manages to form any kind of complex idea for any of the Dwarves' mines in Tolkien-based films.

If one hasn't, one should watch The Lord of the Rings - the Fellowship of the Ring to get an idea of what it might look like from Moria, or, watch the Hobbit - The desolation of Smaug in order to recieve the concept from Erebor.

I recommend those movies, of course, regardless of the challenge, but if you guys are a fan of Tolkien's works and/or the moves based thereupon, it might be some really REAAAALLY good practice for your mind too; engineering such a huge concept, in collab or not, would be really hard.

Good luck!
if anyone actually tries this - can you please post here so I know about it? you can have however much time you need - weeks, months, whatev.

Prepare for awe:
exmple.

That's a quite bold challenge, maybe it's the time to finally get Minecraft if you're so keen on it? Watched the video and I'm really impressed; one would say there are lots of bigger and more exciting things coming out from Minecraft players, but this one is inspired and based on Tolkien's series, and I'm into them as well, last two movies I went to the cinema for, were the two latest parts of the Hobbit screening. (now waiting for the last one!) However, just like you said, projects like that usually take weeks, months, and whatever; Minecraft isn't as easy as it looks when you see others' videos. The idea is still interesting and besides that, there's practically a massive amount of possibilities of projects possible to pull off in Minecraft.
Thanks for your feedback in my MC house thread too!

Is this meant to be extremely similar/a reconstruction? Or is it just the idea that should be similar? Because I think a similar idea as such would be cool for Stone City but actual reconstructions are boring to make

With another semester coming up TOGETHER with a full time job, I doubt I'll start working on this now :/

I'm not searching for a replica, but just something of this idea, large enough, etc.. I'd be sad if nobody took this challenge, but I'd understand
