For those of you who don't know, Crab Island is an island north of the spawn. It is located at -236x, -1992y. It's mainly forest, but also contains some mushroom biome. It is a project I'm working on. It is essentially a separate town outside of spawn. However, I intend for it to be more organized and to have more people working together on it. There is a path to it in the Nether, and an underground minecart track. Crab Island has several farms, an enchantment area, an item donation station and much more is to come. I originally intended it to have plots, but I've changed my mind and I think it would be better for people to just build their homes wherever. If you are going to be building on crab island, here are some rules/guidelines for that.

1. Try to make your house at most 20 blocks by 20 blocks. A little more than that is fine, just try to keep yourself from building obnoxiously sized mega-homes.
2. Do not build on the mushroom biome or any of the islands besides the main island. Since there isn't much of them, how they will be used must be discussed.
3. Try to make your house at least 15 blocks from other houses.
4. There is no strict building style you have to follow, but try to make your house look as good as possible and make it fit in with other houses around it. (Don't make a giant fridge when everyone else is making wooden houses!)
5. There are little cobblestone pillars- they are 3 blocks tall and have torches on them. These are markers showing that the land is going to be used for an upcoming project or that the land is disputed. DO NOT build anywhere within a 15 block radius of them. (By radius I mean a square, not a blocky circle.
6. Only make 1 house. That's all you need. Any other projects you would like to make have to be approved by me.
7. Rules 1, 3, 5, and 6 can be broken with my approval.
8. This list is potentially incomplete- rules or regulations can be added or removed at any time. If you think you probably shouldn't do it, don't do it, even if it's not on this list. This island should turn out as good as possible.

I swear i read the entire thing, but i totally missed that....

I could see myself cutting down all the trees on the island if you want. I love cutting down trees in Minecraft.
