I saw that TehMarz had a wiki on his site. Unfortunately, it was taken down. I've made another on
http://hannahpedia.wiki-site.com/index.php/Main_Page  if you want to look at it. And Jell, the first article is to be the shockwave error.
Update:...  First after we have the basics

what? you mean this right:
http://hannahpedia.wiki-site.com/index.php/Main_Page

as I was saying in the chatbox, I've seen these wikis being put on other sites. Maybe we can do that. and if I'm wrong and you really can't do that, then they probably did some crazy layout tricks to make it look like their site.

or better yet, what if I make our own little wiki system for out site? lol, that sounds like a terrible idea....

it looks like you can change the layout of your wiki-site. I'm reading a guide about it right now. too bad I'm not an admin for it.

We should decide on rules. For 1 week, we will come up with a list and the next week, we debate on what we choose. A list of all the Ideas will be here:
1.Follow interguild forum rules.
2.Make all articles related to HATPC, HATIC, or other interguild related topics.
3.Use a third person point of view. For example "Players should watch out for impossible gems" instead of "You should watch out for fake gems".

there's a guide on how to do all that stuff on the site. look for it. it explains a lot.

I agree with the 3rd-person point of view. All great writings are in that.
I also don't think we need to take our time and organize this, b/c I don't expect too many people to help out with this.

and what about the manual? I'd rather have us working on that, then on something off-site. I guess we could use this to organize all the information we have. But everytime someone makes  new page, they should post it here, and we'll all look at it, share our comments and edit it.

Hey Accel, the manual is very in-depth, while the Wiki covers the basics.

Also, the manual is your project, while the rest of us can contribute to the wiki. You can too of course

But this shall live on.

I guess that's true. The manual is more "professionally" written, and is built to be a guide, while the wiki project is just a quick collection of info. Hey, do you guys need to cite your sources like in main wikipedia? but then again, where would you site to? the old forums? lol

and what's this about the manual being "my" project.

For one, the manual has always been 'your' project. On the old forums, you said it yourself: You would fix video archive, the new game, the new site, the manual, and so on.

Then, because it never was a project where everybody wrote what they felt like, nobody felt like writing tons of stuff (except for jebby) just to add it to the manual. Open source stuff and everything in the lines of that just rocks.

You don't need to cite sources. And also, feel free to put in depth stuff like information on a certain cave up.

Well...what do you suggest?

Piratepedia? Pirapedia? Cavepedia? Not too good IMO.

does it need to end in -pedia? I think HATPC Wiki sounds good enough.

I'm thinking that we can use this when we're expanding into other games too: Then everything related to HatPC in the title gets quite...dumb.

What about some title including something with a theme of user-created content?

like an Interguild wiki? no that's too much off-site activity.
It'd be great if we could keep everything in here so no one has to keep switching sites to see everything.

We could have wikis about  the other games... oh no, maybe that's a bad idea. What if we had a million links leading to the interguild and  a million links leading to wiki sites? The server might explode! (yeah, I know, I'm exaggerating. It just may crash and send a message about the bandwidth exceeding.)

well, we're not going to get a ton of games onto the site. didn't we agree somewhere to enter a maximum of one game onto the site per month?

Which reminds me, when are we going to add new games? I know you are still busy with getting the site to work, but when do you think you are ready to add new games?
