It hasn't gone above freezing since tuesday afternoon. I wish Accel was still in New Jersey so that he could feel the sting of 9-degree weather...

I know, but instead of dealing with this weather, you get to moan about it only being 52 F...

-15F is still less than -15C, so don't whine.

Accel, it's impossible to do that. Cuz points are meaningless. They're basically random.

Example: Accel has more than I do, despite the fact that I am clearly at a higher rank than him, because of my coolnessl

Yes I believe in the power of the metric system, including Celsius. Heck, Celsius came from Sweden!

yeah, I don't know why the US isn't with the metric system. Is there some place where I can find a list of all the countries that don't follow metric? hopefully, US isn't the only one.

I think we are.

I don't like the celcius system, and I don't like the KM's. We should keep miles and degrees F, but switch all other measurements to metric. Inches, feet and yards... Meh. Other than in american football, no one even uses yards.

Not really. When I visited New York/Florida in fall -08, I thought I'd see a high-tech country, but most people lived in old houses with low security. I also saw a huge amount of poor people, many more than in Sweden (ignoring the fact that it lives about 30 times as many persons in US).

Look, you should take care of Obama. Socialism rocks. Remember what Joe the Plumber said? Well, that's a good thing.

Sweden doesn't have as many extremely poor people as you do, and the richest persons in US are way richer than the richest in Sweden.

I think that you should search for 'Billionaires for Bush' on Google.

Nevermind I did it myself.

rich people is what the Republican Party is all about.

I don't know why so many people a afraid of socialism. My history teacher said that there's actually a pretty large socialist movement in the US today, and they're trying to make all medical services free. And supposedly, when Congress estimated that it would take some millions of dollars to do it, they rejected the idea. but then they ended up giving billions to the banks as a bailout. It really makes you think who's more important to Congress. the banks or the people?

Exactly. In Sweden we don't have the Republicans or anything similar to it, and there's no such thing as the 'religious right'. We have socialist parties,  two/three of them, and four liberal parties, two of those are kinda similar to the Democrats.

But I support the green movement parties

we have like dozens of "parties" here, but it's really only the 2 big parties that have a chance of winning major elections.

well, one of Obama's major things is to improve our health care system. Maybe we'll see free medical stuff coming from his administration. but Obama's got a lot of stuff to deal with, so it'll be probably 2 years before he can do anything else.

Yeah, I mentioned the big parties. Of course we have smaller parties than those mentioned but these 7 are in the parliament.

Poor Obama has a lot of things to do.

and I always feel like something crazy is gonna happen to him. If the inauguration goes smoothly, that's a miracle in itself.. some of these Arizona kids have a strong dislike for Obama... and anything socialist.

Joe the Plumber said that he didn't believe in money being taken away from rich people to give to the poor, but in reality, he was one of those poor people and in debt too.
