Welcome to the Interguild's Video Archive! This is a database of all of the videos that our members have made. While we do not provide a way for you to directly upload videos onto our site, we let users upload them to their own accounts on video sites such as Youtube or Google Video. We then embed the videos onto here so that you can find them all in one place.

I figured that the most entertaining walkthroughs are the ones through harder caves. I think any sane and reasonable person would have given up after the first five hours of failure, but here's a Snowflake of Doom walkthrough anyway. I'm never playing this cave again (lies).
The song is "Time" by Pink Floyd, and the song snippet at the end is "Interstellar Overdrive", also by Pink Floyd. I originally had something else in mind, but I figured Pink Floyd would be appropriate here.
okaaaayyy....my mouth quite fell open when i saw this thread, dando i put teh 5 stars before i even saw the vid.
OHHHHH wow! that is such a badass video dandoooo!!!!! this deserves 6 stars only for the idea of the credits. *sigh*...unbelivable. well, next is RoDB?
say, anyone noticed that the list in three months is always that way? aka, it never changes to two months, one month, etc. always three. that's why it'll never happen.?
I've finished this cave a couple of times before, so everybody has to stop saying I can't beat it, 'cause I can and I have. /setting the record straight
Still, of all the people to put up a walkthrough of this cave, it's not me, it's not shos, it's not fungus or anybody like that... It's DANDO???? If you'd told me this was going to happen, I wouldn't have believed you in a million years...
I'm really hoping to upload RODB Monday, but it's going to lose to (at least) this. So yeah, 5*, and I haven't even watched it yet, lol.
You'd think that "Time" would be a more appropriate music selection for... um... "Time".
Well, either way, you did give up on making the walkthrough, correct?

I think that's why she didn't tell us what the cave was; because we wouldn't have believed that she was capable of actually beating the cave on film, and the last thing you want happening when you're trying to do a walkthrough to a cave like this is people telling you about how you're not going to be able to do it, right?
I did indeed give up on the walkthrough. I got too frustrated with the cave, the speed of the computer, and the occasional burst of death-lag 'caused by the recorder.
Oh and I forgot to mention -- I totally guessed what the cave was. Dando went back and deleted the conversation from the chatbox. After I guessed it was this cave, I realized I was probably right before she confirmed it ("That's right isn't it! I'm sure this time!"), based on the clues, but also the type of cave it felt like she must have been attempting.
The last guess I saw from you was Crimson Dangers. Deep inside, I loled at it when I found out that it was Snowflake of Doom.
But you had the upperhand since you were the one to design Snowflake of Doom. You knew it better than anyone, and could use Dando's description of her failures to zero in on the cave.
"The last guess I saw from you was Crimson Dangers."
That was long after I figured it out. I pretty much figured it out the day that we were guessing it, but way after everybody else was gone.
"But you had the upperhand since you were the one to design Snowflake of Doom."
That didn't really help, that much, only, since I made it, it'd be more likely to be remembered by me, that's all. The clue that was the most helpful was that the cave was currently uploaded -- so when I was thinking of accounts, cavetester came to mind. At first I thought I was grasping at straws (since I thought there was no way), but then I remembered my walkthrough could have been the "source of help", and how the other clues could fit as well. She still had to explain to me the connection to tigerboy98ken -- apparently, the guy posted on the youTube page of the video that he was uploading it to his account (I vaguely remember this).
it's good that you remind me. somewhere in my computer, there's a 400 MB video file with more than a half of this cave. i can delete it now
RoDB is gonna kick this one's butt, though. this cave's design is ownage, but hey, most people won't even understand how to pass many of RoDB traps even if they were isolated =|

The act of beating this cave itself is astonishing - some of the moves you have to pull off here are godly. You must have practised until the sun went down to become this dextrous. With my sluggish fingers, I can barely make it out of the first room lol.

I dunno about that. It could go either way. We're going to have to see CSD's walkthrough before we can make any judgments about which is better.
Some trivia: see that jump at 5:32 over the arrow crate and on to the platform? I've only made it to that point five times, with the lattermost* attempt being the one in this video. On the other four occasions, I hit the arrow crate and had to restart. So beating the cave in this video is actually the first time I've beaten the cave.
But anyway, while I definitely wouldn't consider the cave fun, I have to give CSD props for a great design. And while the cave is really hard, I did make things really difficult for myself. For example, you may or may not have noticed how recklessly I was playing for the first half of the cave, like when I get the first treasure. I could have avoided a lot of stupid deaths by being a bit more patient, but it got pretty trying after a while...
* lattermost isn't actually a word, but it should be.
Anyway, thanks a lot, guys. I'm glad you liked it. =D
