Trying to explain what the Interguild is about always seemed to be tough to do. I never liked our previous descriptions, since for some reason it didn't give you a good picture of what we really were like. Instead it just kinda described the site, rather than the community behind it. So after many hours of writing and rewriting, I give you my latest attempt to describe the Interguild to newcomers:

http://www.interguild.org/about.php

Comment and make suggestions.

You need to mention the guilds, which is were the name Interguild comes from. Perhaps with a link to the history articles of the guilds.

I don't want it to go too in depth or be too long because this is just for people who are wondering what the Interguild is about. It's not meant to explain everything about us, or else that would be going too far.

Just a simple "The Interguild was formed by Jebby as a collaboration of several Hannah and the Pirate Cave guilds on Neopets: the HATPCG, the PCCA, the Caver's Guild and the Raters Guild." with links leading to the articles about the guilds if you click on them. Perhaps also add a link to the article about the Old Interguild somewhere.

On most "About Us" pages shouldn't there be like entire paragraphs of the main admins?
http://shine.yahoo.com/page/about/ <-- I just searched "About us page" on google, so don't ask

Sounds like our profiles more than an "About Us" page.

"The Interguild is a non-profit organization concerning the development and innovation of modulatable Actionscript-based web applications. It not only provides its costumers with ever actual information regarding these applications, but also with platforms to showcase their modulations and to share their videos about them.

The Interguild was founded in 2006 by Jerrick Edith Bob Bob Youngwang and Livio de la Cruz as a merge of HATPCG and PCCA, two smaller organizations regarding the same subject. A few months later in 2006, they also merged with CG and RaIG, forming the Interguild we know today.
The Interguild started off small, attracting only a few new costumers each year. But in 2008, the Interguild got a large reform. Several large projects were started, such as a platform for the costumers to show their own modulations and a large database concerning much of the known information on the subject.
The Interguild has recently broadened its target area from modulatable Actionscript-based web applications to any modulatable applications. These reforms have already shown their effects, as the Interguild now holds the leading position in the industry.

The Interguild is very much concerned with their stakeholders. It has included a large and active discussion forum on its site where the stakeholders are able to share their concerns on the organization and suggest improvements. The Interguild takes this feedback close to heart and implants it whenever possible. This allows the Interguild to maintain and strengthen the leading position in this industry it currently holds.

The Interguild is run by its 9 member staff. At the head of this staff is co-founder Livio de la Cruz. De la Cruz is an award winning web designer, who has created many successful websites with his twin brother, Haily de la Cruz. One such website is the site for IceCaves, an organization concerning the design of websites, with an emphasis on the graphical aspect of the page."

Is this better?

we can't say we're non-profit and then use several terms such as "costumers", "stakeholders", and "industry" to imply that we really do make a profit.

Fine, take out the non-profit part. You did make 3 bucks on the ads, right?

I wonder how much money the Interguild has accumulated with ads over the last 1.5 years. It's probably less than 20 dollars.

perhaps you should add the History section tagged within spoiler tags, and a section for Aeon in spoiler tags too?

Haha, I like Jellsprouts. Lol at the comic. I thought it said 'unsuccessful websites' in it. And now I know where the username 'Jebby' comes from.

Yeah, if you have him as a friend on Facebook you'll know his name.
Not sure why he said he was called Jerrick Edith Bob Bob Youngwang though...

Jell, as of now, you can trick the URL into working by using URL tags. An example.
