Not sure if either of these ideas have been suggest yet:
1. Droppable ladders
When the tile under the bottom droppable ladder piece is destroyed or moved, the ladder rolls out and down a set amount of tiles. The ladder gets longer, it does not stay the same.
2. Steel/Indestructable/Fragile Water Crates/Taps
Self-explanatory.

I think we already have number 2?
Idea 1 is good, as well as great for underground/below unreachable locations. | | Harumbai |

Yes the class system should be applied to everything. The ladder idea is cool.

I like the ladder idea. It'd also be cool if we could make it so that the ladder falls without getting longer.

Here's a few ideas:
-we can have gravity-affected ladders, so that they can fall and stack like regular crates.
-have rope ladders where if you break the tile at the top of the ladder-chain, then the entire thing falls and becomes useless.
-and we can have extendable ladders that you have one tile, and whenever there is space available below it, the ladder grows to take up that space. | | shos |

yeah, but what I'm saying is to have four kinds of ladders:
Stationary (that act like HATPC)
Ladder Crate (which fall and move like regular crates)
Rope (that fall easily if a ladder above it is destroyed)
Extendable (which constantly expand to fill the space below them). | | shos |

also, about rope ladders... if the bottom part falls off, it's worthless and it is just a pile of ropes and sticks. You realize that, right? | | jellsprout |

Only for crates. Can you imagine a fragile ladder?

maybe there could be a really fragile ladder that would last only for a few seconds then it would fall apart. | | |
