I know some of you already saw. But it sounds like the new spotlight could be HATIC. They may be taking HATPC down because two Hannah spotlights running at the same time may be weird?

Maybe that is so, hopefully. But we just need to be ready IF HatPC really will be removed and there won't be a hatic spotlight, to switch to another main game.

Because if hatpc were removed it would go in the graveyard, and then we probably wouldn't be able to make levels anymore from hatpc, and hatpc is the main game of this site???

KNYTT STORIES! It's like an advanced version of HATPC. Despite the complicated level editor, it's still a really fun game! And it's quite similar to HATPC! What do you think of that?

Wow, they're going to be done with hatpc cotw's? But they've just recently began to be pretty okay. I would have thought that they'd give up on the spotlight around the levels that were like, "The Great Race"

Well, people, we can now proudly say that the interguild made a late push in the Pirate Cave of the Week Legacy, and that we won several of the last CotW's!

Not that anyone will really care, though, since it's just neopets.

Anyways, as to the possibility that they might be doing hatic spotlights, don't get your hopes too high. For that to happen they have to first actually make a hatic level maker, and while it is possible that that's happened and they're just waiting to release it, it's also possible that it's some other crummy neopets game that we know little about.

But HatIC would probably be the best game for them to have a levelmaker in, mainly because most of their other games suck, but also because it's related to HatPC, and it would make sense to switch from HatPC spotlights to HatIC spotlights.

But don't get your hopes up too high. Neopets has not excelled in meeting our expectations(EX: Uploader Glitch)

HATIC crossed my mind too. I remember someone around here saying that they asked TNT about HATIC Cavemaker recently? Maybe... that reminded them, and they're finally making good in it? One thing to note, is that there might not be a way to save your level permanently, like there was in HATPC. -Hopefully-, they'd think of that, and have a level code to paste in and out like FR2 and SMF, seeing as how Hannah games take significantly more effort to make levels for than, say, Mini Golf. I'm not getting my hopes either, but yes I am. It's just, the way they said it just now, makes me think... Man I really shouldn't be getting my hopes up.

My biggest problem with HATIC is the icy terrain. It's like, you're gonna have to line the ground with platforms from now on, so that the players don't have to constantly deal with the ice. They should have made slippery terrain a separate tile. The two characters thing is going to be easy to abuse in order to make levels frustratingly difficult, but hopefully would people put it to good use.

I said screw it, and I've submitted The Cascades for the final spotlight. I say in the description that, since this is the last spotlight, the level is going to have to last you a while.

My thoughts - there's NO WAY that they'll make a new level editor AND include a spotlight. My bets are that they'll take some game with a level maker and add a spotlight to it. I have a vague memory of the existence of such a game.

They are probably going to end the spotlight because they were too annoyed of us constantly winning. Have you noticed that now nearly every cotw level we post before submitting never wins, but so many levels won in which were posted here after they won?

The only three games with an editor I recall were HATPC, Faerie Caves 2, EFMC, and the Mini Golf thing. They already had a spotlight for the Mini Golf thing, EFMC, and the Faerie Caves.

HATPC + Faerie Caves 2 + EFMC + Tyrannian Mini Golf or something = 3?

Well, since we have been winning cotws so much maybe they know about us by now, and are finally finishing the level editor? If that's going to be made then for all we know the uploader glitch could be fixed!

Even if they were making a HATIC editor, is that really something to get excited about? It's basically just HATPC with glitchy-slippery terrain. And Armin. The two-character mechanic wasn't very interesting, and Armin just plain stinks and is useless. HATIC doesn't even have any new tiles, except for the enemies, which are already pretty annoying when used in HATPC, but I guess the ability to destroy them could lead to almost interesting traps.

The two-character thing opens up many possibilites since you can start each character at different locations. (I think)

Yeah, I guess that could lead to cool puzzles. But were there any HATIC levels where Hannah and Armin ever started in different spots? I fear that they are both determined by a single starting point.

The two character thing scares the crap out of me. It's gonna make things SO HARD, I mean, REALLY. And it's just the icing on the cake that everything is slippery as hell........ PUNLOL

I'd be very happy with HatIC. However, it's unlikely. I hope I'm wrong, but until we get lucky, I'm not going to keep my hopes up.

Whoa. Cotw spotlight being removed? Erm, that's...whoa. But when they remove it, if they remove it, I'm starting to wonder if they'll still allow people to upload HatPC levels. Hopefully, but I doubt they will. Let's just wait and see...

Oh snap, Cedric, that could be a huge problem. If they do, I guess we can always complain.

I'd be very unhappy with HatIC, it plays completely differently and doesn't have at all the same potential that HatPC does. If they swap HatPC to HatIC I think we'd lose more than we'd gain.

We could still make levels for both, which I'm sure a lot of people would. They're just different games. No biggie.
