It was my turn to do the nightly neighbourhood patrol. I was hoping maybe I would catch one of the perpetrators in the act, but alas, my outing was relatively uneventful... That is, until I returned home. As soon as I opened the door, I knew something was wrong. I ran upstairs to Isa's room, where I found him lying over his desk, lifeless.

Isa was 'Livio', Mayor, TOWN Aligned.
Hint: Once a player has accumulated at least half the votes required for a lynch, a Mayor can "pardon" them, preventing them from being lynched on that day.

The town was in good spirits this morning, after having successfully lynched a member of the mafia on the previous day. The mood was immediately dampened, however, when I told them of my brother's untimely demise. We had lost an important ally. With new-found resolve, the town set forth to find and eliminate the remaining members of the mafia, before their fates became the same as Isa's.

Dando, I'd like your results from Harumbai. Also, with the lack Isa to post long posts like he always does, the game will die...

Anyway, I realised I forgot to tell you that my role is Captain Obvious. Proved to be completely useless due the crappy hints...

Well, Harumbai came up as 'Dando', Town-aligned. Which kind of throws a wrench in my theory. That would suggest that the remaining two Mafia members are among Bmwsu, Silver, and Woodstock.

I'm going to be honest, though; I'm not convinced of Harumbai's innocence. His behaviour last day was pretty shady... He didn't really comment on our theory or try to defend himself, he waited until Soccerboy's lynch was pretty much inevitable before voting, and there was that stuff about his ability to silence people that seemed pretty odd. Also, now that I think of it, I can't think of how 'Dando' would relate to silencing people...

But the main reason I'm still suspicious of him is because I wasn't killed last night. I'm the Detective. I'm clearly a pretty big threat to the Mafia. If Harumbai were Town, the Mafia could have killed two birds with one stone by killing me:  they could have made it look like Harumbai was trying to cover up his role, and they could have gotten rid of the Detective in the process. If Harumbai is Mafia and has a role that makes him appear innocent (like the one I used to think Isa had), then keeping me alive to reveal his alignment would be beneficial.

But in spite of all that, I'm not sure I'm comfortable acting directly against pretty clear evidence for his innocence. I think there's quite a bit going against Harumbai right now, but he did still come up as Town, so I'm not sure what to think.

I guess the safest suspect now would be Bmwsu, but he's on a super-hiatus, so...

Isa posted this yestermafiaday (I invented that), probably the mafia realized that somebody WOULD protect you and didn't wanna risk any consequences for attacking a protected person. They probably figured killing the other most-talkative member would be the next best thing.

Also, Thomas and Deathbunni both had protection abilities and I don't think there'd be more. But that is a possibility, you're right.

*sigh* Why would anyone kill the guy who makes us active a lot? Well, he is a Mayor, and he DOES have an important role, I guess.
Also, with Dando saying that DBX had protection abilities, I think DBX may have tried to protect Jellsprout, failed, and was killed by the Mafia. I know it's late, but... never late than never, right?

Harumbai certainly IS very suspicious, and simply telling us he can silence people right out of the blue is... strange, to say the least. Bmwsu qualifies as well, but with the super-hiatus...

I think I'd be more willing to lynch Bmwsu today than Harumbai, to be honest. But it looks like Kitti might be replacing him, so I guess we should wait and see what's up.

Oh, I forgot to mention this. I seriously don't think Woodstock is part of the Mafia. She could possibly be, as the Mafia could've killed her off as a ruse, but I don't think that's really true. I think they killed her just for a little more activity, or something rather along the lines.

Well, whatever we do, we need to think carefully. I don't think we will be able to sustain another blow to our side. At least we have a lead. Kinda.

... But you might get lynched this day. Bmwsu left you with a bit of a mess, and assuming you inherited the same role/alignment he had, his suspicion is on you now. This is going to be kind of weird, though... I'm not sure how this will play out.

Yeah... is slightly awkward. I'll wipe half your slate clean and give you the benefit of the doubt on things that Bmwsu did out of choice. I shall offer you chance to guilt-free explain yourself, but I'm not sure how you'll explain yourself since you just started.

Yeah... Hmm... I guess your best bet would be to make a post explaining your thoughts and theories and we can go from there.

Ok so what can I say, Having the ability to silence people does seem a bit weird. I didn't post any defence that day because I had only had 30 minutes sleep in the last night due to a party which lead to my bad post which was a bit unrefined due to my lack of brain power. I probably should have been more careful about saying my ability, but all I know is that if the roles were random then maybe I just got a bad one.

Since I am being targetted there don't seem to be many leads, Isa was killed, but Yaya's theory would fit. Isa was basically trusted by everyone and his ability (which was accurate) was a townie-like one. This makes it pretty plausible that the mafia went for an easy kill rather than risking getting rid of the investigator. Their best kill would possibly have been succeeding on Dando, which would put all suspicion on me as I then would not be investigated and most likely lynched today.

The only other lead could be that the reason that Woodstock was given question marks in death is because that if she was mafia then she would be lynched as soon as she was reborn. Maybe?...

Anyway I don't know, I just wish there was some obvious solution.

Would the mafia really state their presence like that? Killing a person who just recently returned to the world? Oh wait, I forgot that they were heartless. It would alert us about who is innocent, especially if somebody revives me again.

Well, no, you got a Mafia-aligned one. The roles may have been assigned randomly, like alignments, but they weren't picked at random out of the list and given to random alignments. CSD tried to balance them, and it just seems odd that he'd take a Mafia role ("o Silencer - Mafia aligned. At night, mutes a person. That person cannot speak during the next day. The target may still vote.") and make it Town. Can you share the flavour context you got with it? For example, I'm the detective 'Flame' and I investigate by sending out my army of secret agents.

I'm aware I may seem really paranoid, but there's just a lot about you that seems kind of off. I was paranoid when I got the results from my investigation of Isa, too, so I'm trying to decide whether or not I'm being reasonable, but I think my paranoia is better-placed this time... And I don't think it's a bad trait to have in a game like this.

Anyway, I was going to just vote for Bmwsu this day, but now that Kitti has replaced him, I don't know what to do anymore. He/she is still the most sensible option, so I guess we'll just have to wait to see what Kitti thinks before we can make any more progress this day.

Also, I guess Harumbai coming up as Town takes Guyguy off the confirmed innocent list. I don't think he's Mafia, but you never know.

Well, I'm not so sure. I'm just a Townie who has a thing for trying to stay in as much as I can, even if I get banned. That said, I'm pretty sure I'm Jesus (that sounds funny, haha). I can't walk on water, but I think I can revive. Use the detective ablilty, that should help.

I'm don't think I'll be around to share my next investigation results. Soccerboy may have investigated you and saw you had a "Jesus" ability, though. This quote sort of suggests that:


Too bad Soccer didn't post more or we could have learned more from what he had to say. There isn't much incriminating stuff, aside from it looking like he knew Isa was silenced on Day 2.
