A yank is the derivative of the acceleration to the time. So you have place, derive that to get speed, derive that to get acceleration, derive that to get yank.

o. I never thought it had a name I always thought about how awesome it would be to have d^4/dt^4 stuff so a yank is the third..

Actually, jerk is the derivative of acceleration via time. Yank is the derivative of force with respect to time. So yank = jerk*mass =massive jerk. Oh, physics....
To be more precise, I don't think "yank" is an official term, it's just the name that everyone who needs it calls it.
Jerk is also called other things, jolt and impulse are the ones I know of.
