I figured that you can also make a fail of the week by creating a topic named 'win of the week omgus' and ask people to +1 you. then, everyone will -1 you and you'll get it  

But this is so much better, since one has no interest in anything but amusement for everybody

I'm just going to -1 you while I can to make this negative, because this is a spammy goal but if you get fail of the week for this, or dud of the week, then congratz in advance!

So one of the definitions I found for dud was as follows:
"One that is disappointingly ineffective or unsuccessful."

I would characterize shos' attempt to make a post that has an equal amount of positive and negative karma votes as disappointingly unsuccessful, so could this be our dud of the week anyways?

This is literally amazing me. See, it's not the disappointment for failing in the 'dud' lol. It was an attempt to raise some fun activity, which will probably never happen again; but the disappointment I'm talking about is the fact that it does not matter what I would do, that would be the same. If I opened a fail of the week topic, it'll succeed so much that it might actually be a win of the week.. either way, it'll have alot of -karma. if I opened a win of the week, clearly, you will all -karma it, too. anyone getting my point?
there's also the fact that someone +ed this and then removed his rate and minused it. you get the point~...you say this topic is spammy? I just read a 'bmw your signature is nice' post in the MC discussion thread. it's probably the first post in that thread that I've read, but it's good enough to show me what I looked for. that, is my point, if you didn't get it, btw.look how this has 6 votes, 0 karma? anyone?
